Now is the RIGHT time to talk about this..

A few days ago before the GOAT retired, it was 50/50 if Cam would be here. Once Luke left, the writing was on the wall. With the retirement (and the talk from I.Rapoport), looks like March will be seeing a change in QB's. This team will be gutted (minus a few guys.)

Right before the draft and needing a sh#t load of help, he is gone...healthy or not.

So what is the next step for a QB? Whether we can trade him for picks or have to cut him because of health reasons, the time is HERE. Need to figure something out before the draft.

Draft one, sign a vet, or hope for the best with Allen ( with Oline help.).... what you got?

An option that certainly makes sense...

Going to assume you are meaning Teddy Bridgewater. Good guy, made a serious comeback from injury, might be better than ever before.

Same could be said for Cam Newton, though, especially if it is an electric bicycle.

I'm not sold that Cam is gone, yet.

I have thought for a while now that the probability of Cam playing for the Panthers this season was about 10%, Luke retiring doesn't change that for me.

Honestly, the QB thing is hard to predict, as we don't know if Tepper wants to win a few games along the way while we rebuild, or if he wants to completely tear it down and do it the right way.

Until we know that it's tough to say.

If you want to win a few games along the way, maybe you bring in Rivers or someone like that, and let Kyle and Grier continue to learn behind a smart QB who's gifts are fading fast....he can still win you a few games though, and the fans won't think it's a full tank job.

If you want to tank, tear it down completely, start from scratch, you leave the QB room alone and let Grier and Kyle fight it out in TC, and name a starter between the two of them.

So we're absolutely positive the team is moving on from Cam now?

Have to get my mind prepared for that now if so. That's one that can't just come out of nowhere for me.

We don’t know for sure. It looks that way but anything can happen.

Why though? If we are rebuilding and have Cam on the cheap (relatively) why not see what he can do, draft young talent and see where it lands in 2021?

If Cam is injured and it's obvious he's done then we address QB with a high 2021 draft pick and utilize the young talent we drafted in 2020.

If Cam thrives and returns to his old form then you don't have to stress over QB in the 1st in 2021, continue to surround him with talent.

If Cam looks good but doesn't fit your long term plans, move him for a pick. At the moment I don't see it until he plays and proves to a team he's worth trading for.

    • They are 1 and 9 against the  Bucs in the past 10 games. the Panthers go as young goes.  QB1 ‘s are suppose to dictate and overcome  and elevate Everything the QB does affects every part of the team and Bryce is uneven. Canales and Bryce have  an uneven relationship too  as for Evero, the only thing that might save him is the injury to Baker’s left shoulder and oline injuries. I don’t even know how he is out there   I really feel their season ended last Sunday Canales’ division record isn’t great   Getting owned by the Saints and Bucs isn’t a good look
    • Frankly surprised by the amount of people that want to hang Evero. This was a defense that was almost universally considered the bottom of the barrel before this season started. We’ve managed to stat our way to the middle of the pack whatever that means. Those critical of the zone schemes, what do you want? When even JC is getting burnt one on one by Olave you have little choice. There definitely have been moments where the zone blitz stuff has bit us. That said, are the third string linebackers (and nick Scott) covering poo anyway? This unit had only conceded 10 points going into the fourth quarter despite a litany of bullshit penalties on both sides. Them over performing is the biggest reason we are still in playoff contention.
