That's a good choice. He would have learned under Omar Khan, considered by many to be the best in the business.

Suleiman has gotten consideration for GM interviews but I don't think it ever actually happened.

I wonder if they’d consider Suleiman for an executive VP role as the tweet indicated he’d be more than a capologist? And who else did we hire from the Steelers?

I wonder if they'll also look at Brandon Hunt.

Technically his title of " Pro Scouting Coordinator" would make it sound like "Assistant GM" would be a promotion but the Steelers could still block it or put conditions on it.

Bouchette has said that Hunt is the guy the Steelers would promote to GM if they lost Kevin Colbert.

Not to derail the thread, but I notice no one seems to have an issue with the guy’s name or cultural heritage when he comes from a proven organization.

Its always amusing to me how a lot of racists and bigots just kind of fade away when someone is clearly good at what they do.

Love the hire. Cap management is def on the “needs improvement” list. Here’s hoping Mr. Suleiman can help us in that area.

    • I hate to praise Atlanta but what they did was not dumb. The only issue is where they drafted Penix. #8 overall was very high for a QB with Penix’s injury history. But it wasn’t a bad decision. I wish the Panthers took a broader approach to finding a franchise QB after Cam.  Cousins is old and recovering from a serious injury, so he is obviously a temporary placeholder. It makes sense they hedged their bet on Cousins, because Atlanta was burned by holding onto Matt Ryan too long while his skills degraded. If Cousins can still play, Penix gets to sit on the bench and learn which has proven to be a winning strategy for developing young QBs. If Cousins sucks or gets hurt again, they have a legit backup plan to see what they have in Penix.  Where are the Panthers if Bryce gets hurt or sucks again this season? The season is over and they’ll be considering drafting another QB next year.
    • Same as when Jordan Gross said that having to block Julius Peppers made him a better player. But I mean no sh*t, having to block one of the best DE’s of all time will up your game. I bet Gross went up against other DE’s in games and was like, this is nothing. Horn isn’t that level of player obviously, but Legette has his work cut out for him going against Horn in practice. The coaches should be able to tell pretty quick what they have in Legette.
