Facts, but ready to do cartwheels when a rumor says we are getting rid of him.

You know how this board is when it comes to 3rd round picks (which is what we'd get if we did in fact trade Cam) these are the same people that thought Armanti Edwards would develop into a quality receiver. Or that Sione Fua and Terrell McClain were good picks. We finally get some young, fresh innovative coaches in the building with a once in a generation talent at Qb and they want to blow it up before seeing what Cam can do with some legit talent around him. Instead of the Armanti Edwards, Legadu NeNe, Brandon Lafell, Kelvin Benjamin, Devin Funchess, Domenik Hixon I could go on and on and on Ted fuging Ginn is the 2nd best WR Cam has played with. TED GINN!!!  The best being a 32 year old Steve Smith(still an absolute BEAST but still). And don't even get me started on the Olines he's had(Byron fuging Bell, Mike Remmers, Nate Chandler a DT turned OT LMFAO). Cam has legitimately CARRIED this offense since he came into the league with Mike Shula calling plays the majority of the time. This team IS/WAS a Cam Newton away from being worse than the fuging Browns these last 9 years. Let's see what Cam can do with some real talent and coaching around him. I bet it'll be fuging amazing.

Every time there is some positive news about Cam remaining a Panther, the usual suspects are always there to throw salt on it.

If by “usual suspects” you mean stating realistic scenarios even if it differs from your opinion then yeah... some of us are “suspect.”

7-8 wins and we have to pay Cam out the butt.

lol, oh lawd... some people.

There are QBs in this league sitting on benches every week making more than Cam.

I mean, if you don’t like Cam and don’t want him here, just say it clearly and stop beating around the bush like a total wuss.

Fug me for stating that though. To hell with those who think that Cam not being here next year is actually a possibility.

I'm a huge Cam fan and I hope like hell that he's here next year but I'm not sure what you think you're accomplishing by refusing to accept the reality that there's the possibility that he won't be.

What I really would like to know is the context and the point during a conversation in which he was quoted as saying this.

Perhaps is was something like one of the following sentences.

"Cam is coming along fine and our folks have been assured that he will be in peak condition next year. Now that we have this knowledge we plan on winning a Super Bowl with him"

or

"In a world where pigs fly or when we finish building our time machine, we plan on winning a Superbowl with him"

I will let folks decide which one they believe.

Also, were they serving alcohol on this flight and how many drinks did Coach Rhule have?

I love Cam, favorite panther ever, but his contract and injuries are just aligned wrongly with where this franchise is and what it wants to be.

Cam is going to want a mega deal after this season (if not sooner).   And that is not in line with what tepper wants.  Its a foregone conclusion that he is gone.  Too many signs on the wall and I think Gross's statement today solidifies it.

    • Not sure I completely agree but it's a pretty accurate list
    • If Reich or Fitterer were still around I think the need to extend Young because of what he cost would be stronger.  And yeah Morgan was Fit's right hand when the call was made but there an equal chance that Dan will see it as a chance to move on from Fit and shake off that stink. Holding out some hope that 3 years and clear eyes will allow for an honest appraisal that Young just aint the guy
    • As far as elite/elevate talent QB’s It’s Allen Mahomes Jackson and Burrow that’s it.  Then we have tiers and those can be debated all day Dak is a good QB but I know this board would want him out of Charlotte if he was the QB here. 2 playoff wins in 10 years. Justin Herbert no playoff wins. Threw 4 interceptions in last years playoff game. 23 TD passes last year. 20 the year below and 25 the year before that. This board loves stats without context and these stats aren’t saying they’re much above complimentary  Kyler Murray isn’t good. I’m not sure how he made this list.  Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence both benefiting from some real good offensive coaches right now. They’re both complimentary pieces until proven otherwise  I like Jordan Love. Always have. I wanted to draft him but he isn’t a superstar.  CJ Stroud hasn’t been much better than Bryce after his rookie season. After that Bears game year 2 his numbers very similar to Bryce I will say I think Drake Maye is well on his way to becoming the next top tier QB if I had to pick one from this entire list. I’d also say Baker Mayfield is a damn good QB and I’d take him over most of those guys not in the elite category  Now if you want to debate tools and which QB’s possess tools to put them in higher tiers that’s a completely different discussion. Most QB’s on your main list all have those physical tools that will keep you thinking he’ll become the next top tier QB. They’ll sprinkle in a “wow” play or two a game. Bryce will never look that way. Young’s game at its peak will physically always look different and I think that’s where most people struggle when it comes to seeing how Young’s can be successful in the league  All QB’s need a team around them. I think the Bills are failing Josh Allen much like the Panthers did Cam. Beane and McDermott using same blueprint with Bills team. Josh Allen hasn’t had much in terms of WR’s and it’s ultimately costing them when it matters the most
