The reporting today has been terrible. ABC said all his daughters were on board. Then some yahoo in Arkansas reported that there were no family members on board. Then Rick Fox was on board. Now it might be nine people.

Sheriff confirmed 8 people and 1 pilot. No names released and he ripped into TMZ hard over releasing info before the next of kin could be notified.

Reporting is terrible every day.  It’s no longer about facts.

Not taking anything away from this terrible tragedy, but the pilot in me saw those pictures of that very low lying fog around those mountains and it looks like nobody should be flying in that type of weather. Ground visibility looked to be less than 1SM.

gonna go look at the aviation weather during that time and see what the forecast was.

Can tell from experience. most first reports on aviation accidents are usually wrong. Going to be a wait and see process.

Exactly. Wait for the NTSB reports because regular reporters and even police and firefighters are generally clueless about aviation mishaps.
