Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t he request to be cut so he can choose his market?

Stop with your deflection. You went from you dont think it's ever happened to it happened because it was request. BTW he didnt. And does it matter? He was still cut.

You realize that March is probably the earliest we could trade Cam, right?  In other words, you sound as if you are skeptical because it has not happened yet--when it is too soon.

Im skeptical because its off season bullshit and the "Panther" fans here feed in to it.

To be fair to Colts did have the #1 pick in the upcoming draft which they knew was Andrew Luck.  A luxury the Panthers do not have and which made cutting Peyton a much easier decision.

What team is going to give up a 2nd or 3rd rounder for a guy coming off injury and is on a 1 year deal? Chances are we release.Cam and hope we get a comp pick in 2021. No team will trade for him unless Cam agrees to an extension and why would Cam do that? The contract hed be offered will be a lot less than if he gambles on himself and balls out and then hed also get to control what team to go to

Exactly this.

It’ll be a stare-down between Marty Hurney and the rest of the NFL with Cam.

Are you gonna cut him, Marty?

Are you gonna keep him?

As the legendary Judge Elihu Smails once said: “Well?... WE’RE WAITING.”

Now recall the lesser stand-off between the NFL and Marty Hurney, re: Harrison Butker.

Remember that? Who won that stare-down again?

Right.

Keep him and pay him.

Or cut him.

Those are the Panthers options.  Period.

I think Cam is gone, but I’m not sure it’s by trade.  I don’t think any team will give up more than a 3rd for him.  There is way too much rambling  going on for this not to be happening.  He could just get released if they can’t find a suitor for him that is willing to give them something worth having.

    • We agree here dawg. I'd love for Bryce to succeed as would all huddlers. I have not seen a single huddler hate Bryce for anything other than his play on the field / potential / skillset. He hasn't gotten any of the irrational hate having nothing to do with football that Cam got. And yeah I understood going into this season with Bryce again as there weren't a ton of options, but man we missed the fuging mark on upgrading at backup QB with someone who could actually push Bryce. Bryce had zero pressure on him with a 100% washed up Dalton being the only other NFL caliber QB in the system. That absolutely needs to change this offseason. Ideally with an actual starter upgrade but that seems extremely unlikely due to not having many FA options and a bad draft. But at the very least with someone like you mentioned, young/upside and/or day 3 pick in the draft.   Another note, we have a top paid and top performing OL, great young talent at WR incl. likely OROY, great RB group, average all around TE group, offensive coach with creativity in the system and good play designs (poor situational playcalling but still I put out current offensive coaching staff over Shula who held Cam back for instance). Not the absolute best situation for a QB to be in, but still a very good situation around him. And yet we have a bottom 8 offense (6th lowest points scored). Imagine taking a victory lap for a QB leading his team to the 6th lowest points scored in the league and the 22nd highest passer rating (despite being asked to do less than many other QBs; i.e. Bo Nix who isn't great either and has a slightly lower passer rating but Sean Payton actually lets him try to throw the ball deep and has him throw significantly more than Bryce). Crazy
    • similar to Atlanta and the NHL.  Atlanta has lost two NHL teams (and lost a minor leaguer).  Now there's another coalition pulling together another proposal for Atlanta to get an NHL expansion. While I'd like hockey to be back in Atlanta 'cause hockey is fun, I am skeptical that it'll happen based on previous teams' experience here alternatively: similar to Atlanta hosting a Major Tennis Tournament in advance of the US Open every mid/late summer.  Aside from the fact that Atlanta is said to be the country's largest Tennis playing city (with both USTA and ALTA, along with a number of side leagues) - playing tennis outdoors in Atlanta summer is miserable *and* they had difficulty attracting players... ticket sales were not good. So the Atlanta Open closed after 14 years.  They just couldn't make it happen, even if for all intents it appears to be massive tennis interest in the surrounding area.
    • So I saw where Luke was doing that show parallel to the game. Whatever it was, statcast something something, knew it would be a good watch. I don’t get ESPN any more but that would be one of the about few things I would watch outside of games.     He doesn’t fool around on the radio broadcast.
