Seriously you think players around the league is going to like that move? You can't let Cam play the last year of his deal? But its a huge problem when players don't want to honor their deal, hold-out for more money, let the teams know to trade them, retire instead... it's a real problem then

Players will go where the money is.  Those players who have money will sometimes prioritize based on the best chance of winning. 

Having said that, Cam is a great guy, but it isn't like the Panthers have cornered the market on NFL free agent talent while he's been here.

They'll go where Joe Burrow or Trevor Lawerence is. Cam isn't traded without a plan bro, if Cam is traded IMO, it will be in a three team trade that nets us the #1 Overall (we give 2 1sts. Charges get Cam and their 1st goes to cincy, Bengals trade us 1 to save face from a potential Burrow holdout)

What gives you the idea that we are going after "marquee" free agents?  We aren't.

Subtracting Cam and adding a promising QB from this draft or the next will help. Just how much is an unknown. But if there are fans out there who think the likes of Kyle Allen or Will Grier are going to bring anyone of significance in from free agency, you might want to go reread what Gerald McCoy said when he signed here.
