Corona Virus

China allows every kind of animal you can imagine to be packed in to small spaces, stacked on top of one another so they crap on the lower animals, including bats which are virus incubating machines, and then the virus jumps to humans. Now we have to worry about permanent lung, heart, and nervous system damage, sudden death, and the world economy is wrecked. Unacceptable. The Chinese government should be overthrown immediately by it's own people, and new Western minded intelligent leaders should be appointed.

They did ban this a few weeks ago when this crap was starting up. In 6 months they will be back to normal and doing whatever they want. I agree with you on the sanctions stuff.

Yeah when one nation threatens the entire world with their incompetence the rest of the world has to step in and take over the decision making. We decide (the Western world), the obey, or they get sanctioned.

Sadly this isn't the first viral outbreak, and they go back to status quo each time. They will kill us all with a mega virus eventually if we don't stop them.

We already have laws in place to prevent Trump, or any one individual, from turning this nation into the complete dumpster fire that is China.

Do we? Only if the other branches of government perform oversight and enforce them. They currently do not.

The greatest threat to human existence is not nuclear war, but rather a lethal viral outbreak that will likely pop up out of dumb f@ck China if we let them carry on with the current government.

H.G. Wells wrote a novel about just this topic. War of the worlds, it was an infectious disease that stopped the alien invasion, not human aggression. This is not the first deadly virus in human history, and it will not be the last.

I am not advocating fear just common sense. Folks all of the numbers you see on the TV are at least 1 1/2 to 2 weeks behind. The incubation period is five days and the test is three to five days. There is a good chance that the virus is already around us and in our communities. Florida just sent in over 500 tests so expect our numbers to jump substantially in the coming days. Stay safe out there guys, we live in troubled times.

I just spent a week in crowds of people sharing beers in Tampa. I am sure coronavirus probably ran rampant through us, if it didn't get killed by the copious amounts of alcohol everyone was consuming.

lot of scientist suggest global warming will be the cause of the future virus problems we face.  Things being unlocked that haven't been seen in thousands of years that today's man won't react kindly too.

Once this is over with China must ban their live animal markets permanently regardless of if they want to do it or not. Apply international sanctions if they refuse. And no more eating bats ffs.

MERS and SARS were transmitted from animals too. New viruses and diseases are just part of life and evolution. Freaking out about it isn't going to really do any good. Just invest more in research in to these various viruses and have a comprehensive strategy for outbreaks. Right now some countries have it and clearly some(ours being one) do not. If anything a virus this incredibly benign(relatively speaking) is a pretty good test to expose the large scale issues that would arise from a much more serious outbreak.

Hopefully the long term impact will be a net positive and it will force the majority of the world to get serious about preparing for the inevitable spread of infectious diseases. They aren't going to go away now or in the future.

    • "If only Bryce were <height>", he'd <insert stupid thing here>" was the bit and in direct response to multiple posters ridiculously blaming Bryce (and only Bryce) for the punt returns vs. New England. :3 I understand that folks desire balance, hence the "Bryce stans vs. Bryce haters" narrative but it's abundantly clear that the only people going into threads just to talk about Bryce are the haters. Meanwhile, daring to disagree that Bryce was completely at fault for something that happened on special teams gets the "stan" label. Shoot, I'm sure folks lump me in as a Bryce stan (Brycen stan? Absolutely. Bryce stan? Nah) just because I have the audacity to look at what the rest of the team is and isn't doing. 😛
    • PJ Walker is the only QB in the Tepper era the Panthers managed to find wins with.  Only QB w/ a winning record.    PJ had success in pro ball before the Panthers.  He he had NFL tools.    He just is consistent and unreliable.  PJ Walker is what you call a bad/poor man's gunslinger.  He can provide highs and lows both virtually guaranteed.  He is NFL depth.  Bryce Young hasn't proven to improve a teams chances of winning better than the PJ Walker tier of QBing. PJ Walker can do things Bryce Young can't......and that a problem
    • There isn’t but the thing is the team/system/staff around the QB ultimately dictates how successful that QB can be. You have Baker getting released midseason here vs playing like a MVP on another team. Darnold on the Jets/Panthers vs Vikings/Seahawks. Geno Smith on the Jets vs the Seahawks vs the Raiders. Mac Jones is looking as good as Purdy on the 49ers. You have to build a roster, culture, and system for these guys.  Obviously the QB has to be the leader and help elevate the team, but we are seeing what moving a “bad” QB to a stable franchise looks like. Daniel Jones might be doing the same but it’s too early to tell.
