Lol if we aren't tanking we are still gonna suck either way so who cares what its referred as. Back to the topic. Do you guys think we should bring in Robby?

You are stuck on believing this team is tanking yet you are asking if we should bring in someone who will improve our offense and potentially add more wins...

Name 5 current starting QB's worse than a full season Teddy. Name 1 defense worse. Name 1 line worse. The players won't tank, but the front office is tanking. We brought in Teddy cause he knows the system. He can't throw past 5 yards

you are completely wrong about Teddy Bridgewater.  Your opinion is based off of a distant observation.  You sound like the Saints fans a year ago who groaned at Teddy's signing until months later they were stomping their feed chanting "Teddy!  Teddy!" and clamoring for him to take over the team from Drew Brees.  You will fall in love with Teddy, just like Vikings, Jets, and Saints fans did.  He just needs to play.

Well where does this Saints money come from..... they just signed Malcom Jenkins and Emmanuel Sanders

They are done as well.  They had roughly the same amount as we did, but after those pick ups (and a few lower level deals) they are scrapping the bottom of the barrel too.

Serious answer? Because you don't pay $12+ million for a number 2 receiver, period, but especially when your roster is littered with this many holes. There's a reason he hasn't been signed in the first wave of signings. The value is unequivocably not there. Particularly this year when you can draft a receiver in the 2nd or 3rd round with more upside for a million per year.

I do not get this crowd (Not talking about everyone--just those who pretty much attack every opposite opinion and fall on their face with incorrectness).  You praised Cam--the GOAT---now we can't get a sixth rounder for him--but you wanted to keep him---to give him a king's ransom.   We hired a coach who is proven to be able to turn around college programs by finding unloved talent and winning with them--you blame him for not beating Oklahoma and Georgia three years removed from a 1-win season.

You knew going into free agency that we were not going to be big players. We unloaded big contracts and under-performing veterans.  Like pulling off a band-aid--do it quickly.  Now we are filling role player positions and you are screaming because you did not know their names before we signed them.  This TE, RG, and the WR are actually nice signings.  Boston was smart,.  Bridgewater was solid.  He has upside and experience.  That is all we are going for.

I am a bit alarmed that we did not grab a DT in free agency, but other than that, well done.

    • The bad thing is that Xavier Legette kind of ignored the Jugs machine his rookie season. The good thing is that he's committed to it now. Catching is important to an NFL receiver (sarcasm), but, perhaps just as important is a receiver's---any player's---mindset.  "This offseason, the young wideout has gotten back to something in terms of preparation (Jugs machine). 'Oh man, it’s always been something I’ve done, and I don’t know why, but I felt like I could take a little breath,' explained Legette (via Darin Gantt of Panthers.com). 'And when you’re playing in this game, you can never do that. It’s always a way to get better, and that’s one of the ways to help with catching. For sure, for sure. In my mind, I’m thinking about ways, things I can do. What can I do to have less drops this coming season in Year 2? 'The whole mindset has changed, man,' added Legette. 'Trying to do anything I got to. I’m sacrificing a lot of things that I used to do outside of the building to put my work inside the building.'" https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/xavier-legette-focused-on-reducing-drops-that-plagued-rookie-year-with-panthers-01k1692c0tz9 So, yeah, it wasn't good coming in taking some things for granted, but Legette is young. His mentality appears to have changed and he appears to be maturing and he's been putting in a lot of work by all accounts.  I know some of you are down on him, but I still have faith. Last season was a disjointed mess in its entirety, but there were still some flashes, particularly with route running. With Legette's seemingly better fit as the WR2, mindset and focus---doing his actual job catching the ball---he should be able to improve.
    • It is worth noting the fanbase has long held a love hate relationship with PFF over the years. Now that we are employing some of their people and actively using their data in our roster building approach going forward this should serve as the end all be all to any debate. This is either going to end really well or really bad. It's the Panthers. So save your energy and give it some time.
    • And to be honest, we weren't really talking about PFF grades either. I brought it into the conversation via a pic that's LLM-related (which apparently some Huddlers took issue with) as an aside for providing more specificity than just sheer numbers
