Us true Panther fans are use to mediocrity...hence never having back to back winning seasons. I love Cam but we were up and down every year with him as well. I’m fine blowing everything up...we needed a change. We had an all vet team last season and ended up with a whopping 5 wins, so at least I can look for growth in next seasons young team.

Many just came to the conclusion the 31 other teams did (including Ron Rivera through Washington's actions) that Cam is healthy and he is becoming more trouble then his dynamic personality is worth. David Tepper might've had enough of answering questions about health. We're talking about a guy who made billions off risk, but he doesn't want to take a risk on a former MVP?

Cam's freaking coach gave his 5th round pick for Cam's preseason backup! Does that not tell you anything? Analysts said themselves no team is willing to even give a 7th for Cam, while KA, this boards favorite punching back commands a 5th. Cam is DONE, teams don't "wait for the team to cut him." Ron could've easily waited to get Kyle Allen, there is not commanding market for him from what I understand, teams don't value these late picks the way this board does Comp picks.

I trust in our management, people who accumulate a net worth of over 12 billion don't do it by accident. 2019 was Teppers first true year here and we haven't played 1 regular season game under the staff DT has assembled and people who don't bash him are called "Cam haters."  Cam didn't make it easy to give him a Delhomme or Rivera type exit by positing on Instagram 24/7 complaining about commitment and flipping off the man that paid him a sum of around 45 million dollars in the past two years.

Colin Kapernick is likely around the 35th-45th best QB in the NFL and he can't get a job for many similar reasons, the circus isn't worth it. The owner wants his own guys and as a man who paid 100% cash for this team, he should get that shot. If Cam was as good and healthy as many here believe, multiple teams would've given at least what KA commanded by now, it has just been 100% silence. 

It has also come out Cam's people knew about this and agreed to it in negotiations and Cam still said what he said. Even though It's unconfirmed, I personally speculate (no reason why, just do) a 1 year extension was offered maybe half guaranteed and Cam scoffed at it and went and posted the video. The second KA did well, Cam pulls out a cigar and a glass of wine and makes that video explaining how he hid injuries from the boss and organization (you know, an NFL rule violation that results in fines and loss of draft picks) to stay on the field.

The team could get in MAJOR trouble for not reporting health issues, I'm sure the NFL came and did an audit at some point because of that mess. There is more to this situation and I'm not 100% defending David Tepper, but let's not pretend Cam's hand are clean.

Apple, one of the biggest organizations in the world... Let's say a guy HIGH ranking in the company (maybe 3-4 levels under Cook) flips him off publicly on Instagram, let's see how long he keeps a job. Tepper is not Jerry Richardson and will not accept that abuse or culture in Charlotte. Like it or not, Matt Rhule is very religious and I doubt likes the idea of the face of his team smoking cigars and drinking wine on camera while regularly telling his boss fu$k you.

No they didnt. Cam fans started rooting for the Panthers because of him. Auburn fans rooted for the Panthers because of Cam. And fans under 25 might not know another Panther QB but Cam. But most Panther fans aren't going to bail because Cam is gone just like they won't due to Luke retiring or Olsen leaving. Anyone who knows football at all knew Cam wasn't going to keep up his style of play behind 30 and he hasn't learned to play from the pocket which is why he is being replaced.

Been there done that.  Look at our record for the franchise.

How many times did we complain about the ownership and coaches?  That's all changed.  We got what we asked for, which is why you should always be careful of that moving forward.  Sometimes your favorite people/things/ideas can get ruined and swept out during big sweeping changes like the Panthers are experiencing right now.

The toughest part is going to be gaining national relevancy again.  That's going to come with wins, which might be in short supply in 2020 due to a departed defense.  I hate that some of my favorite players of the past decade are gone, but the Panthers are my team.  I was there in 1995 in Clemson.  I there for 1-16.  I was there for a Super Bowl.  I have been with this franchise most of my life.  I'll still be here and rooting for my team.

But it does means I'm going to have to see who are my next favorite Panthers.  There's CMC and DJ Moore....welp, that's a short list!
