Jameis Winston to Saints being finalized

Jameis can play lights out and look like Brett Favre one second and then completely look worst than Will Grier’s worst the next.

Jameis is like 26 or 27 and has a lot of football left. No promises except he gets to learn and watch and who knows.

A free year of salary to sit behind Brees and learn how not to be an idiot on the football field. It's a good move for him, he wasn't going to start anywhere this season anyways.

True, but IMO  I dont see Brees taking this clown under his wing and really giving a damn about coaching him up. Sure maybe some obligatory help vets give the younger guys, but Jameis has put himself out there as exactly the type of guy that old seasoned vets avoid because being seriously associated with/connected to brings down their own legacy.

He just had one of the best in the league in Arians.

This is why I like the move...  for us.  If Arians couldn't fix him, I think the odds are much higher of him screwing up there than figuring "it" out.

His issues dont seem coachable.

Smartest move he could've made.  Take a year and a few million to hold a clipboard with the Bridgewater route, then let a QB needy team talk themselves into you and give you 20 million+ next year.

Not to mention the impending Brees retirement. Impress Payton and you might fall ass backwards into one of the best rosters in the league.

I’d be hype as hell with Winston as tank commander than fuging Bridgewater

I don’t know. God forbid he improves his decision making especially with a much better D. He absolutely has a much higher ceiling than Teddy if, and it’s a big if, he can reduce turnovers.

So are we signing Winston next year? Joe Brady and the New Orleans connection right?

The only move I hate so far is signing Teddy Bridgewater to that contract. Teddy will never be anything else than a game manager. He lost a week 17 game to Kyle Allen 2 years ago. He did not just lose but played awfully. Winston has all the talents in the world. We should’ve signed him instead if Joe Brady is really an offensive genius. Winston has more potential to work with than Teddy. I know that the man threw for 30 int but you can’t teach someone to throw for 5k yard in a season and 30+ tds. Winston’s contract will probably be 1/4 of Teddy’s if not lower.

And that qb needy team will probably be the Panthers bc we sure as hell are not getting Trevor next year.

Like Ray Lewis and Ray Rice? I remember how Lewis gushed over Rice in interviews together, and then Rice did what he did.

Arians is one overrated coach. He was Ron’s biatch. Ron owned his ass every time

Ron always had the better team and barely won.  Ron won the games when the Panthers were better than the opposition.  he lost the games that required strategic adjustments.  We got this instead:

Damn he’s getting a gig before cam

Because he's a better QB at this point. Unfortunately Cam still thinks he's a starting QB and crab legs understands he needs a good team to look good.
