I think that's the difference. Most superstars were always superstars. In little league, in middle school, in high school, in college. They were always the best player out there. Everyone wanted to be associated with them and they were always told how great they were. The guys who didn't necessarily have all that and still make it generally have a lot more appreciation for it once they make it.

And then there's the reality that some people are nice guys and some people are just assholes. They would've still been nice guys or assholes whether they were playing in the NFL or delivering your mail. LOL!

True.  My mailman is an ass.  But then again, my wife is buying groceries from Amazon and she has to bring in boxes with canned goods in them almost every day---and we live atop a hill at the end of rather long driveway.  And then there is the moat and drawbridge....

Rodgers is overrated and over the hill living off of media-hyped reputation.  the team overachieved last year, and most success was due to the running game and the defense

Aaron Rodgers is a lot of things but "overrated" isn't one of them. He is genuinely that good.

Unfortunately for the Packers, he just also happens to be a pain in the ass to work with.

Yes, and it would actually be pretty easy.  It would be like getting Jordan at the end of his Bulls days, and complaining that he's a bit of a dick to play with.  I actually hope Rodgers and the Packers have a falling out and he gets traded.

The problems are he is premium expensive, is a diva with issues and we won't be ready to take on a FA QB like him for a two year hard push next year. 

I just don't see how those stars align with our schedule of team building. The dream is to draft one so you can build a SB team around them on  that rookie deal. If he was the missing piece on a SB caliber team it would be real tempting for sure.

So...just telling this story because seems like Farve also had a bad rep with some of the people he worked with.  The two..Rogers and Farve may have some things in common.

People may not be a fan of Cam but Cam was a special person and football player. The man is genuinely a great individual. Hard to beat Cam Newton.

Rodgers is the most overrated QB in the history of football. He is probably the greatest talent as a QB and highly skilled at his position. However, I was never afraid of the guy when we play against the Packers. He would just throw for a bunch of yards, not tear up our defense like a Drew Brees, Peyton Manning or Brady. You would think that Rodgers would have more than 1 SB ring. Rodgers has always had weapons around him. Then Green Bay was able to give him a really good defense for years. It was hilarious to see the football talking heads get so mad about how GB didn’t give Rodgers any weapons during the draft last week. Ask Cam about not having weapons and protection.

Cam did a lot in the community and not just when the lights were on him (such as buying food for the homeless after a game).  He seems to genuinely care.  I can't imagine that anyone associated with the team would expect him to flip off a request for a dying child.
