It's true.

I just asked the NSA and they said The Huddler is pretty damn good.

They also said Microsoft said he needs to get a steamer on those carpet stains.

Maybe the worst attempt at an insult ever posted.

He has been hearing the "potential" line since college.  It is time to turn that into production.  I do not think it is fair to expect him to become a star--he is what he is--a 4th rounder with limited college production.

Pay attention to the free agent signing (DeValve) and the undrafted free agents.  An H back type with good hands (Central Michigan)  and a 6-6 receiving TE (former WR).

If I were Armah or Manhertz, I would be a bit nervous.

Armah is too valuable as a do-it-all FB/H-back/TE.  Manhertz is the one that need to step up his game.  Being our QBs bodyguard is eventually going away.  Honestly, he's only mediocre in that role too.

I do not get the love for Armah.  His reps seemed to diminish.  He has 3 catches for 11 yards in his career--as many receptions as tackles.  Did I see any bruising lead blocks?  I cannot recall any.   I do not know how he fits this offense--Brady is more likely to run a spread than a power I.

I think Brady will want more--he will want an Hback that can split out wide, motion into a pass route, etc.

LSU was one of the few schools that used a FB a lot until last season.

While the rest of the game discarded the position, LSU clung to its fullbacks. The Tigers averaged 5.4 fullbacks on their roster per year over the past decade. But after last season, LSU installed a run-pass option scheme. The Tigers adopted the spread, and now, they sometimes line up five wide receivers during practice.

This year (2019 with Brady), it has one fullback listed on the roster: Tory Carter.

I got ya, but we need at least one.  He's the best candidate.  Even if CMC has his snaps cut some, it's not going to be to a point were we need to suit up 4 RBs on game day.  Our TE corps is pretty bad.  Again, between suiting up that TE 3 or having a FB on game day, you go with the FB.  Now if you were arguing against having 2 FBs on the 53(55) man roster, I would agree 100%.  Eliminating it altogether so JAGs at RB #4 or TE #3 get  jersey on game day is a bit shortsighted.

I think the old fullback is given away to the modern H-Back. Guys like Marshon Ford at Louisville last year that are basically a cross between a RB and a TE that can line up in the backfield or a long the line.

    • Oh good for them! Hope this is the start of a long happy time in their lives here.
    • There was no reason to believe in either Cam or Jake as a top tier elite QB before those seasons either. Cam was an "athletic" QB in most people's minds and his passing skills were open for debate. And there was a bit to that as he was still trying to get that massive power in his arm tamed to be able to put some touch on his passes. And then, he did it. Missiles became bombs, the firing lanes became points of finesse. Cam grew up and leveled up, while still retaining the ability and drive to truck people whenever he wanted. And Jake... no one freaking believed in Jake except Jake himself. He got, and let's be honest with this, one chance in a losing game to make something out of his career. And he rose to the occasion like some kind of mythical hero and continued to do so for the season. He became a true leader for the team, and his gunslinger capabilities rehabbed Moose's career and created Smitty as a force in the league. Smitty went from a barker to a biter. But no one believed in Jake going in. And they trashed him on his way out. Now Bryce... who knows? I've seen some improvement. Maybe he finds his footing. His teammates seem to love and respect him and that means a lot. The game should be moving at his speed now. He has weapons available to him and maybe a defense that doesn't just roll over by the third quarter. And his coach seems to be moving this team in the right direction. Could he do it? It's up to him, if he can find the magic like Jake and Cam did. But don't doubt this, magic is really, really hard to find.
