Yeah the stats don’t show much greatness so far. Another question if Brees retires right now and he could, is Winston the default back up?

My biggest fear is that he pulls it all together in new Orleans and we have to deal with young ass self compared to Brees Old ass in that QB friendly system.

Agree completely that Colin Kaepernick got blackballed for his stance and speaking out. Think JW's lack of starting gig has far more to do with leading the league in interceptions and being consistently inconsistent over the course of his rookie deal.

Maybe Tre was speaking as one who plays defense, like it'd be great for defenses if Jamies was a starter?  I mean, he does like to throw the ball to the wrong team.  Often.

I agree CK got rejected due to his protesting, but surely you don't think he was a starting caliber QB?  He was a very poor man's Cam Newton and was getting worse every year.  His last 2 seasons his numbers were all bottom of the league...and got worse in the playoffs.  I could see him as a decent backup maybe.

Whether he was good enough on play to be a starter was the grey area that allowed a lot of us who were trying to be fair minded to be unsure of what was happening and why in the beginning. Based on his recent play at the point he was blackballed, I think it's hard to argue CK merited a starting job in the league, but that part is debatable. What is hard to argue is that even if not a starter, he was clearly superior to any number of backups and therefore made clear that leaguewide refusal to even work him out was more about his stance than his playing ability.
