Farewell Carolina - Newton's Vlog (Awesome Vid)

If McDaniels and Cam get that sh*t rocking in NE, I think it will show how awful of coaching and management we had here with Cam. But that's an unknown at the moment.

I can see Ron's legacy completely changing though if Cam has second life and wins playoff games.  It would show that they tried to jam a square peg through a round hole with the lackluster Shula system, and we never really utilized one of the most dynamite athletes to ever play the game.  The team rather didn't give him help and refused to curate a system with most opportunity for success.  They never really knew how to have a team around him which was just so frustrating.

When he was drafted people thought he'd be looking for the first opportunity to leave Carolina to chase brighter lights, but ended up being the most loyal player you'll ever find;  too loyal, as he sacrificed his career, body, and brain, for this mediocre organization.

Teddy takes the team 7-9 or 8-8... no Lawrence... throws 14 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.... again.

Cam dabs on Carolina

That’s exactly what’s going to happen. It’s just so short sighted and stupid by Tepper and Rhule.  I support a lot of the changes we’ve made and I thought we did great in the draft but not giving Cam another chance with  a roster that finally addressed the supporting cast issues that plagued his career is just dumb.

There’s no universe where Bridgewater is better than Cam, scheme or no scheme. There’s no player you can draft that would be better than the years you could maximize out of Cam. It comes across as vindictive and arrogant.

If Cam is successful in NE, get ready to hear the narrative that it proves Belichick is the real genius and he made Tom Brady.

The sports media has already got that one cocked and aimed.

Its probably true

Tepper has made literally billions of dollars by taking in data, assessing risk, and making decisions. He has had access to all of Cam's health records along with opinions from team and other doctors. I just cannot see Tepper being short sighted. He has let go of a ton of revenue by letting Cam go and he knew that would happen. For a guy like Tepper to lose a franchise QB AND a ton of revenue it would take some pretty conclusive information regarding Cam's shoulder. But we shall see. This is definitely Tepper's team now. If Cam balls out for an entire season in NE then he will have egg on his face.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
