Im not trolling.  I made a comment relevant to the thread topic (and even more relevant to this board for that matter) and within seconds you had to comment on it.

Just like you always have ever since I questioned why you are a mod after making a post about switching teams just because you aren’t happy with the moves the team makes.  You’ve been on my case ever since.

bottom line dude-someone will without a doubt claim that Cam’s redemption season was cut short or impacted by Covid, thus impacting his stock for his next contract.  It will happen.  Knowing this board it will happen sooner rather than later.  My comment has nothing to do with how I feel about Cam.  I’ve been one of Cams biggest fans for a long time.  And taken a lot of poo for it.  I was merely making a statement in a thread where it should be made.  Hell I surely wouldn’t want to make that statement in a newly created thread and suffer the wrath of you for creating another Cam thread.

My comment wasn’t anti-Cam.  It wasn’t unfair.  I wasn’t trolling.  It was about Cam’s upcoming season and the fact that so many of his teammates won’t be available, which will surely impact him.

the only trolling and judging that took place was in the comment you made about my post seconds after I posted it.

Poking is also trolling. Also, you just admitted that covid would impact his season after claiming that this board will do it sooner rather than later as if it were a bad thing or something not true. But "I've been one of Cam's biggest fans". lol ok sure.

Why can’t each Panthers opt out have its own thread?

Probably better since this thread is shot.

Need to start banning these idiots who can't keep it to a relevant football discussion. Training camp started, no patience for political/ideological bickering now.

What if we get a flood of opt outs like the Pats? Half the first page will be opt out threads.

What's really left to say? Christian Miller, a guy who was going to compete for likely a  situational pass rushing role, opted out. Has anything drastically changed for the Panthers? I'd say no. Marquis Haynes likely has a much better shot now. That's pretty much it.

Yeah I get that but not every player needs a thread (UDFAs for example). If they’re bigger players who have a shot at contributing I think it could be worth individual discussion.

Also, have you seen the threads on the first page... Is it such a problem that those are pushed back by opt outs? I don’t really care either way but at least if you merge them we need the info from the title of the merged thread. I didn’t realize Christian Miller opted out until well after that post was merged in here

    • 1st period was a Masterclass on defense by both teams. About time for the Canes let’s keep it up.
    • Yes, it tells me they’ve improved significantly from sitting at what, 30-31st in the league on the PP to 11th now.
    • I wanted someone to hire him so we got the picks, but I'm also not upset that he'll now be back. I genuinely don't understand why so many fans on here dislike him so much.  No, he's not perfect and made some mistakes this year, especially at the end of the playoff game and going so soft in coverage on the final drive. But considering this place torched him all offseason for us having the "worst defense in NFL history" last year.  Said in the whole pre-draft process how we had to go defense in round 1 because of it and then complained the rest of the offseason that we didn't do enough to improve the defensive roster. How do people say all that about the defense and then complain when he turned that same unit into a pretty respectable defense this year.  They were really the only reason we were in a lot of games for most of the season, as the middle part of the season they really stepped up and were playing like one of the better defenses in the league. I don't see any reason we can't improve even more next year if we spend another offseason focusing on adding pieces on that side of the ball, which we should be able to do with our draft picks and cap space. We had the historically worst defense ever last year and people are upset because we weren't the 85 Bears this year, make it make sense.
