Teddy Bridgewater all mic'd up

Teddy Bridgewater mic'd up during practice

Thoughts:

- There will be inevitable comparisons to Cam here with the dancing and joking during practice. However, this is how Teddy has always been. I remember his clips like this from his rookie year. This isn't forced or contrived.

- Everyone loves Teddy. I have yet to hear anything other than a glowing review from anyone that has interacted with Teddy. The guy is a people person.

- Looks like Teddy stays after not to just work on his throws but also his footwork (footwork that looks really good)

- Will Grier makes the nicest catch in the video

Really excited to see how all this translates to actual football games.

I keep seeing one of the knocks on Teddy being that he isn't going to elevate the offense like Cam did, and they're right: He elevates it in his own way.

Teddy is incredibly efficient with getting the ball into his playmakers' hands. He doesn't have to be the offense like Cam was, he can be a part of the offense like most QBs are. Teddy can get the ball to CMC, to DJ, to Samuel, to Anderson, to Thomas.

Gonna be the first time since before Bledsoe that I've been ok with the Patriots winning now that Cam is there, but I can't wait to see how the offense looks with all of our players. Hopefully the OL can hold it together (and we retain Moton!).

Teddy looks off receivers really good. Noticed on a couple of throws he's looking at one receiver and throws to someone else (crossing). That will keep defenses second guessing. Cam had such a rocket arm he could still slip it in there but thats' what Tom Brady does really good was looking guys off.

Good call. Noticed that as well.

Loved it. Also, I think DJ has been challenged on his temperament quite a bit lol seems like everybody wants him to be a dog and on camera he seems to smile it off.

I saw multiple clips of Cam talking to DJ about it pregame..Teddy “I want you to be nasty”. Even Smitty when he was asking him if he should play him on fantasy and he was just standing there awkward with a awkward smile was a testament.

Dj plays physical, I’ll take it. Temperament of very few at the WR position (Julio top of mind).

He has fully converted me into a fan. I was disappointed with the signing originally, but the more I find out about Teddy and the more videos I watch, the more I like him. I hope he has a great season. If we could get our secondary figured out I think we have some potential to hang around an surprise a few teams this year.

    • Purdy only passed for 127 yards week 18 and then only passed for 108 yards in the playoffs. In those two games he had 0 TD's and 2 INT's and a fumble. Mayes in the Superbowl had a total of 63 yards with 0 TDS at the 13 minute mark in the fourth quarter. He only had success when the Seahawks went into prevent defense. Philip Rivers only had 127 total yards in week 15. Boomer with the Vikings had 126 yards and 4 INTS in week 13. Cousins had 167 yrds week 14 and while it was over 150 yards, he also had 2 INTs with 0 TDs. Yeah Young didn't have a good game but neither did any of these other QBs. And while he had the lowest yardage, he was the only other QB that at least had a TD - Philips had the other.
    • He has to have a great year not a great few games...probably gonna have to finish with a winning record too for the first time as well. Front office has all the leverage, havent got much on the return for trading up in the draft no matter what bryce fans want to say. They have no reason to offer an extension right now. All the talk about his personality is just deflection off the talk about money. You can be the nicest guy in the world, it doesnt win games or make you a top 10 QB. They know that, spending all that money on the O line and drafting multiple offensive players in the first round of past drafts says a QB should have better production than what we have seen so far. We have to lean on a run game more to be productive in games rather than a qb we traded up to no.1 for. You can easily draft a more talented QB on a cheaper contract and get the same results bryce has given you so far. Thats the truth.
    • I will go out on a limb and say this was the biggest win since 06.
