Is Robby Anderson already the best FA WR in team history?

It's early, but this guy is a player. I was originally skeptical of the signing but I've loved everything I've seen from him. He's the toughest receiver we've had since Smith. 

Obviously there's not a lot of competition in team history. Only one I can think of is Ricky Proehl. 

Other candidates would be bringing Moose back, Keyshawn (lol), and like... DJ Hackett?

I think Legedu actually put up decent stats but I imagine Ginn is prob our best WR signing.

It's Ginn right now, which speaks volumes of our lack of success (well, probably more accurate to say lack of effort) in acquiring FA WRs.

Unless you count brining Moose back then Ginn would likely be ranked above him for now. Ricky Prohel is up there but he was never a number. Keyshawn is the only other notable free agent addition. Mark Carrier and Willie Green from the earlier days were part of our expansion draft, so not really much competition.

Seriously I remember almost vomiting when Ginn dropped that pass against the Colts.

Ginn catching a sideline pass late in a game against the Patriots to win the game puts him above all the others for me for now. However, Robbie has the potential to have a bigger impact for us for the long term.

I mean we'll see how the season goes. he's already on track to be the best FA the team has signed in several seasons, regardless of position. and it's not like his performance has been flukey. he's got wheels and the offense makes it so easy to get him the ball in space. I'll admit to being a bit surprised at how comfortable he is going across the middle, where he's made so much hay through 3 games.

it will probably be time soon to discuss how well the entire 2020 FA class is working out for the Panthers. Weatherly, Teddy, Robby, Burris, Kerr all playing substantial roles for the team. really only Whitehead has obviously disappointed so far, and he's on a bargain 1-year deal.
