It’s amazing Mike Davis graded almost the same as CMC

And the previous coaching staff didn’t play him at all

Good riddance.

Well, in fairness, it would have been very difficult for the previous coaching staff to play Mike Davis.  He wasn't on the team when the previous staff was in charge.

That being said, I agree in principle.  Norv Turner was always a one back Coordinator.

Yes he was. He was claimed off waivers by the Panthers on Nov 11, 2019. Panthers had 7 games to play him last season.

No knock on Davis at all. He is being him. But there is a big drop off between him and McCaffrey in what they can do on the field. Their speed and elusiveness are not close. McCaffrey does things other guys can't. So not playing Davis instead of McCaffrey is hardly a poor coaching strategy. You don't take arguably the best guy on offense off the field unless you have to. Especially when he can break it on any given play.

    • For this reason, BY will not play against the Packers. They will find a reason for him to stay on the bench again.
    • Well he quickly deflected the question about Rico's "almost 7 YPC." He is very polished and he transitioned well to non-answers and side steps. I can see why a guy like him was able to pull the wool over on guys like Tepper.
    • 31st rushing D and 8 carries by Rico is coaching.  Rico is easily the best offensive weapon right now and it’s not really close.  *literally everyone knows Dalton is washed, horrible and shouldn’t even be a backup QB.   Drive 1? ZERO carries.  Coaching.  Drive 2 - Rico was playing great.   Did Canales lean into that or go for “balance”? Coaching. Drive 3 - ZERO carries.  Coaching  Drive 4 - 1 carry and opted for Jimmy Horn gadget rush (you can’t stick  with the Horn repetitive gadget runs each week and that’s not a better idea than getting Rico going)  Drive 5 - basically Dalton heavy as the half expired.  I don’t need to watch a game to know it’s coaching.  The gameplan wasn’t about setting Rico up to go off on a trash rush D.  It was bullshit harmony balance of the rush and the pass and making Hubbard feel good.
