What is Jeremy Chinn

Jeremy Igo

He is the defensive version of McCaffrey. They are both incredible athletes gifted with strength speed, brains and a fire to compete. He has even exceeded my expectations. I knew he was athletic and fast but the ease at which he went from lower level college ball to the pros is frankly surprising. I guess it helps to have college coaches who are making the same transition who can distil the essence down to the basic concepts.

I wanted Chinn, but thought that issue sailed when we drafted YGM--and drafting YGM was the right move.  Getting Chinn at #64--55 picks after Simmons, makes him the steal of the draft.

Note:  you have to praise players on really good teams with caution.  Winning and studs around a player can hide flaws.

He's what Isaiah Simmons was hyped to be.

I hoped Chinn would basically be a poor man's Simmons. Turns out, Cardinals fans are now hoping that Simmons will get his act together and be a poor man's Jeremy Chinn.

Man I watched that Cardinals game with a buddy of mine who is a big Cardinals fan and he was like man, why can’t Simmons play like this Chinn guy.

Marty may have gotten something right....

Felt good to watch a game with an opposing fan and come out on the winning side didn't it? Been too far in between the last few years. My brother who is a Falcons fan still hasn't called me since the game on Sunday.

They were so butthurt about that loss that they fired their coach and GM

Hopefully it changes something. I hope they win every game except the one vs the Panthers later in the season. I have no desire to see T Lawrence in the NFCS for the next decade.

Funny how the draft works out at times.

I am sure that given the chance, thank god we weren't, we would have picked Simmons too.   I know I was one to hope he'd fall to us.

I think part of the mindset of Rhule's player selection has been speed.  It was well documented that he wanted speedy players on both sides of the ball.   Of course, he only addressed defense in the draft but for the most part those players selected had speed as a good quality in their resume.  Even Brown has that quality for his size.

Chinn's only discrepancy was he was from a small school.  As you noted, we got the better end of the deal.  Chinn flies around about as good as any Panther I have ever seen.  I can only imagine how dominate he will be once he has been in the league a couple of years.

It's good to have an Army Swiss Knife on defense.  That's for sure.
