Trade rumor...Curtis to Giants for Engram

I really like Curtis, but this could be a good trade. Engram does have some injuries though.

I wouldn't be completely against this. I like Samuel, but man either our TE group is horrid or Brady just doesn't like to use them

I have no idea about the validity of either this source or this rumor but honestly, on the surface it would kind of make sense. The Giants need help at WR and we need a receiving threat with some size. If we've already decided Samuel isn't in our long-term plans this would REALLY makes sense. Same with the Giants and Engram.

I wouldn't do it. Engram can't stay on the field and even if he does, will Brady even utilize him? Samuel has been clutch on 3rd downs this year and an important piece. Anyways, I don't think this "source" has any legitimacy at all...

Engram has missed 14 games and Samuel has missed 11 games. They were both drafted the same year. That's pretty much a wash.

Both Samuel and Engram were named on an article I saw in the Athletic recently.

I may be biased (doh!) but I would hope a switch like this also meant they throw in a draft pick.

Why? Samuel has 1760 total career yards and 14 TDs. Engram has 2006 total career yards and 13 TDs. Pretty much a wash.

If Samuel could stay healthy, I've always felt he could be an incredible player.  He has definitely flashed, and ideally, I would love to hang onto him and see him reach his potential...  but as LG said above, if the FO has already determined that he's not in the long-term plans regardless of what he does this year, then I really wouldn't be that upset if they made this trade, but idk if this is a legit rumor or someone looking for clicks.
