Dude had to be told at least three times yesterday where to line up.

He was #15?  I hadn't seen him play in so long, I forgot his number and assumed that had to be the UDFA/CFL guy we just promoted from the PS.  I even posted in the gameday thread that everytime #15 came out there, he had no idea where to be, and I mean literally everytime I saw him...  he almost caused several delay of game penalties.  Guess he just checked out bc of lack of PT.

Oh well, bon voyage!

@stbugs this should help the comp formula. I know they tried to trade since he signed its seems, far too many better WR in trade talks. Marty and company missed on this one, impossible to hit on all free agency players.

I’m not sure but I think it still cancels out since he made the 53. Remember the other Charles Johnson? I remember that if he made the Jets opening day roster we would have gotten a 6th for Dickson because he wouldn’t have been canceled out.

Also, since he made the roster and was a vet, we spent $3.75M and get nothing back. Vets salary becomes guaranteed when they are on the week 1 53. That’s why we signed Reid after week 1.

There was no need to sign Roberts early and lose a comp pick and guarantee his salary. I believe we paid Smith and Roberts $10M for 21 catches. Not bad at all. Thrown in Short’s money and we basically pissed away almost two years of Moton.

He can not for what I know. He was put on IR before the 53 was set, thus he can not return.

I think you are right. I think the only IR rule change was the unlimited miss 3 weeks and you can come back. That might only be a 1 year thing due to CV.

He’s was a solid receiver for several years with Oakland. I’d bet he gets picked quickly by one of the many WR needy teams like the Eagles or Packers and will probably do pretty well, but we had to cut him to set an example. Not knowing where to line up on multiple occasions this late in the season is inexcusable.
