The logic is getting him 100% healthy - not bringing him back for a game that they have a better chance of winning vs one that they don't

This staff has proven able to win games despite star players being injured, which the previous staff could not do outside of 2015. Makes it easier to hold him out, but yeah it’s the right decision 100% of the time anyways.

Makes sense. If playoffs aren’t going to be a thing for us, then we would be smart to limit his use as much as possible. Put the carries on our one year rental or give some touches to a young unproven guy.

You don't play him/not play him based on opponent. We can lose to anyone in the NFL and we are completive enough to play with just about anyone. You play him when he is healthy enough to play. That may be today or 3 weeks from now.
