I'm sure that has absolutely nothing to do with the offensive line.

Our line isn't great but Teddy definitely relies on the underneath and dump off routes more than he needs to. People are using the O-line as a scapegoat for legitimate criticisms.

Like here's the thing, before Cam was hurt his tendency to throw off his back foot and often sail balls were frequently attributed to failures in protection and likely rightfully so. Cam also seldom looked for his outlet while our scheme also inexplicably failed to provide him one a lot of the time because Shula was a donkey. Say what you want about Cam but he tried to push it down field, even when his body was failing.

Well now everyone that was screaming for Cam to just take the dump off has gotten their fuging wish in spades. We have a legitimate Check Down Charlie.

Don't kid yourself It's terrible.. I agree some what, short passes are the bread and butter of moving the ball efficiently just look at the Saints for the last 12ish year's.. My gripe is when he goes short at times when an incompletion is a better play and lack of a killer instinct so to speak.

I think Brady needs to take the outlet away from him in certain situations. I'm getting migraines from no-gain or loss-of-yards passes on third and long.

Glad someone else is realizing it. I’m exhausted of the excuses of the O-Line for Teddy’s clear deficiencies.

    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
    • The fact that this is even a discussion is a testament of the level of front office badassery that's going on.
    • Not always. LT was for the Giants. So was Ray Lewis. Von Miller was moreso than Manning his final year in the season that shall not be named. It's usually the QB, but not always.
