None. As soon as they can, put in PJ walker, 1 who knows the playbook, 1 who is athletically gifted, 1 who ALREADY had chemistry with the team as well as the coach. 1 who is CHEAP.

Do yall know football?

What...

His stats have to be gaudy. That D can't stop anything. They know they have to win with basketball scores.

Don't lie to yourself. Trevor is largely throwing to guys who are wide ass open. He's a tremendous prospect but the big question with him is how is he going to look when his team's backups aren't better than the opposition's starters.

Come on now,  Trevor is throwing dimes.  Dropping balls into guys hands.  Its not the system.  He is legit the best prospect since luck and in reality probably better coming out than him

first 6ish plays he is throwing insane passes  This is just one game

The throw at 6:18.  Come on man that is nfl worthy

I said he was a great prospect, but it's reality that his receivers are usually wide open. He shows the ability to throw into tight spots but he doesn't have to do it often.

Nah man I am just saying his gaudy stats should be taken with a grain of salt.  Not saying he isnt good.  But their offense is spread them out wide open.  Just like with trask that gives me a bit of concern as he is just throwing to open spaces/wideouts where as someone like Trevor is calling audibles at the line and throwing dimes into coverage

all I am saying is its hard to really drill down and evaluate guys in offenses like howel.  He does throw a nice deep ball

They have 2 backs approaching 1k yds, he really  doesn’t throw the ball anymore than any other college QB although it may seem like it.

We'd have to give up a kings ransom for Howell because we'll be picking in the teens. Those kinds of trades often don't work out and we just have so many holes.

I'd like Lance, much higher on him than I am Wilson and this is a good situation for him assuming we don't let Moton walk and actually build up the OL. Unfortunately the latter might not end up being the case.

Sam Howell?

Don't get a hung up on the names. You can exchange players here if you prefer Wilson over Fields (as I know some do) or if you think there's a better 2021 prospect than Howell, but the basic premise of the question is this:

Would you prefer to get one of your second choices in the coming draft or would you be willing to wait a year to get someone who would be a top choice in the next?

Too much parity in the NFL to plan ahead like that.  Look at Miami last year, they tried to tank and ended up 5th I think.

Unless you can guaranteed you will get the first pick you will pretty much always be getting your second choice at QB.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
