No question...we are drafting a QB

Lance may fall. Looking at the board, I wouldn’t be too mad at that. If somehow all four are gone, just take the stud that falls. I know I’ve been really negative on this subject but if Philly wins, just hope ATL messes their pick up, and we’ll be in ok position.

Just no more bridgewater.

Hard pass on Lance

The way things are shaking out, MIA will have pick 3 ahead of ATL.  I'd say 2022 1st (#7/8) + 2021 3rd + 2022 1st could get us #3 and land Wilson/Fields.

If you have a chance to get your guys that you feel can lead your team the next 10+ years I wouldn’t think twice. Brees will be done after this season, Brady after next and the Falcons are not looking good with talent and being stuck on contracts so we could easily take over after next season

Find our guy and go get him. This team doesn't become the consistent winner that Tepper talked about until we have a QB.  Whatever MLB, WR, CB y'all want is meaningless if we have a shittier Alex Smith at the helm for the next couple of years.

Could we miss and strike out?  Sure. But guess what, that's this league.  Unless you have a franchise QB, you're winning nothing.

If 2 QB’s are gone by 3rd pick do we really want Atlanta to fug us and take the 3rd best or take a chance that Trask or Lance will be there. Honestly until the combine it’s hard to determine boards but I just don’t want to be screwed another year. If we decide that next year since TB will be under contract with no cheap way out, that QB isn’t a pressing need we need to ensure we draft a franchise cornerstone LT or MLB and hope the next year theres a quality QB available near our pick.

We gotta move up, we just have to.

We’ll probably be pick 7 or 8. Can definitely see one of the top 4 being there, but if we fall in love with one of them over the others then yeah gotta go get our guy. Shouldn’t take too much if we’re just trading up to like 5 or 6 too.

No way. They didn’t bench TB this game because they feel that QB isn’t a pressing need. Tepper alluded to the fact that you need a QB to win in this league and didn’t sound warm at all on Teddy. With a top 10 pick we are absolutely going QB either at 8 or by trade up.

I know WFT laid down in front of us but for anyone who still holds on to the moral victory, see this post for what we lost by winning last week. Sucks. Is what it is, but it sucks. Hopefully, chips fall for us like they did for KC and Houston.

I dont get the whining about the Washington victory. Washington was so bad, particularly Haskins, that the Panthers would have had to forfeit the game in order to lose. There are probably 5-6 QBs in this class with first round grades, Panthers will be in position to take one.

Someone's going to fall to us, some qb always unexpectedly falls.

Most people are saying it's Lance now but it could easily be Fields or Wilson pending several different things .

The only certainty is the Jauguars getting Lawrence.

Some of the teams above us COULD get QBs. But which one actually NEEDS one ?  Id say Jags and that's it.

That opens a slew of trade up opportunities if the Panthers are dead set about getting a particular guy not named Trevor Lawrence

    • Wanting that type of play and being okay with paying $55 million a season for it are two entirely different things. If Bryce were to become the same player Purdy has been, then he would surpass my expectations of him and I'd be okay with him as our QB of the future (and again, I've long been one of the bigger anti Bryce people here who doesn't think he is capable of being our long term solution). But in no world would I be okay with paying him THAT kind of money, paying an average starter elite money is just a terrible decision.
    • I don't think they can overcome that mistake. Hell Lance was a hiccup compared to this. He isn't going to be able to carry that price tag and now he is going to have to do just that. Lol. The NFL is so dumb sometimes.
    • So, one could say that T-Mac is quicker than someone of his size should be and while he might not be quite as fast as Evans in the 40, he's more athletic than Evans. If only someone, anyone, could have seen that in his tape and mentioned that on here, hmmmmmmm In all seriousness, hearing he tested in the 89th percentile in that drill at his size is crazy impressive.  Just tried to look up the times of the top WRs in the league right now, most don't show at time for that, but I did see Chase ran his in 7 seconds flat. I honestly don't know how true this is, but I do remember seeing one breakdown of his tape and the person said he has quiet and efficient feet.  That he's really good at using the minimal steps possible to make his cuts and because of that, it actually makes him look slower to the human eye because you don't see all the quick chop steps that the guys like Tyreek would use in their running. I'm still in a state of disbelief that he's a Panther and it might not fully hit me until week 1 and I see him out there making plays for us, still feels like Goodell is going to just be like, "YOU GOT PUNKED!!!  hahaha, he's a Cowboy now, suck it"
