He threw for more TDs this year in 10 games than Teddy has ever thrown in a season. Teddy's career INT percentage is 50% higher too. I'm not sitting here arguing that Trubisky is the answer, but he's better than Teddy. Teddy turns it over more often while throwing for less TDs.

He is better than Teddy but do you really want to go 7-9 instead of 5-11? IMO there's no point in bringing Mitch on in anything other than a backup position.

Huddlers: Guys this QB is secretly good

This comes from a guy who's profile picture is one of the worst starting QB we've ever had.

If we draft a QB than of course we wouldn't sign him.

So I assume you would rather go into 2021 with the same anemic QB we have now than to give a QB that has had some good games and some bad games a chance.

Had Robinson not dropped that wide open, perfectly throw bomb from Trubisky in the wildcard game.  Chicago may have won that game against New Orleans.  I consider New Orleans to have had one of the best defenses in the NFL and he stood firm against them.  They lost but you couldn't put the blame on him.

IMO, at least, gives us an opportunity to take a look.

You make it sound as if we are trying to bring Josh Allen in.  Tribusky has his faults but he also shown he can play with the big boys.

Do I want to offer him a huge contract? No. Do I think if we can get him under a one or two year deal that makes sense.  Why not.

Why does the Huddle want any a FA just because TB sucks, or give up assets? The blueprint we are probably, and should be following is the Chiefs, Bills, Browns, Ravens, Cardinals blueprint. Because it is the best for long term success. A FA is not and neither is giving everything a way.

Unfortunately, the results are not quick and some instant gratification fans can’t comprehend that. It may take more than one draft, or longer than a year to develop a QB/team but it has a better chance of long term success.

TB is a bridge QB, as we all know, as the coaches and FO know looking at his contract. Let’s use him as such as the bridge to the new long term answer at QB then spend years going through FAs or spend an eternity of assets get squeak in the playoffs every years only to fail as an incomplete team.

    • Give me Anthony Hill Jr or give me death
    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
