How close did the Panthers come to getting Stafford? Dang close.

Then why is it no self respecting NFL player wants to come play for him? Its pretty obvious at this point he's going to chip kelly out in a few years.

Points to the roster.

Umm. We didn't get Stafford after the Rams offered a ton for him. Did I miss some folks out there that passed on us since Jan. 1?

Wait, wut?

Our coach got our players to play to the end this season.  You know, the actual NFL players on our roster.  Those guys CLEARLY fought their (*@#es off for him.  Our record does not reflect the effort our team produced.  It reflects the lack of talent we have.

Our team purged a LOT of dead wood last offseason.  ON PURPOSE.  Further, we'll do more house cleaning this year.  When you look at the roster right now, look at our projected position in 2022.  We are SUPER clean by then.

We're going in the right direction.  Matt Rhule may well flame out.  It happens.  However, he's going to leave us in a better position than we were in when he came here.  That much is obvious already.

Yeah, anyone with half a brain can literally see that. The only "Stafford Sucks" discussions come from fans who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

Football guys don't talk about Matt Stafford as not being a very good QB. It is plainly obvious that he is.

I will say that these "good" or "dodged a bullet" threads probably aren't going to age well. I rarely like to be the "told you so guy" when it is bad for the Panthers but I won't be shy about reminding these Huddlers when Stafford is successful in LA. Especially if we whiff on a QB this offseason.

Make no mistake, it is not a celebration to miss out on an answer for the most important position in football. I am not going to celebrate "missing out" on Watson for whatever giant haul he commands.

I know the world is crazy right now, and people can just say things, whether grounded in truth or not. However, where is your evidence for this? Rhule has had one free agency period during a pandemic. The biggest acquisition (Anderson) has said he loves it in the Panthers organization. Your comment is just buffoonery.
