LOL. Please name an alabama qb worth a squirt of piss in the last 20 years. I'll wait. And no Tua don't count yet

You'd have to go back to Kenny Stabler, Bart Star and Joe Namath. Of course, if that's in your history, that's pretty impressive.

You can pick pretty much any great college football program and only get a handful of names for QBs who made it big in the NFL at the very most. It's just really hard to play QB in the NFL.

To play it well is really rare and to be at all-pro or HoF level it's a one in 10 million shot or so. Out of the 32 teams in the NFL, probably less than half have even a decent starter. And of those 16, most are just journeymen or are at one end of the arc of their career or the other. The rest are on their way to the bench or to a different career.

The college program may or may not matter, but you can't disregard a player's performance within it, against the best competition of his day. Doing so would be pretty foolish.

Laugh all you want--your point is outrageous.  So that is how you evaluate a player?  Really?  Do you like Fields?  I will wait for your Ohio State comparison.  Do you like Lance?  You must like Wentz then.

Instead of comparing Jones to prior Alabama QBs, why not compare him to another SEC QB who rose from obscurity to become a national champion the year before:  Joe Burrow.

Joe Burrow (2019) vs. Mac Jones (2020): Passing statistics
Joe Burrow, LSU
(2019)
  Mac Jones, Alabama
(2020)
94.9 PFF grade 95.5
94.1 PFF passing grade 94.5
10.8 Yards per attempt 11.2
140.9 Passer rating when clean  142.4
141.1 Passer rating under pressure 122.7
24.3% Uncatchable pass % on throws 10-plus yards 18.7%
37.9% Uncatchable pass % on tight-window throws

34.7%

See?  Your game works both ways.  But if you broaden the scope of your comparison theory and eliminate speculation, you can only compare what Jones has done to what others have done--in college.  So if you think comparing him to previous players at his school give anyone some epiphany of wisdom, then I assure you, that is no basis for an intelligent conversation.  You see, I use facts and data to form opinions, not emojis, zingers, and memes.  Maybe that is the difference.  Still waiting?

Yeah the same system Brees had with a great oline. U think Mac can do good with our oline. He would get killed and never be right again. Yeah that system.

Every QB does better with a good OL. No, the system built for a QB to do a few quick reads and either throw it to the outlet in the flat or throw it away. Saying Jones can't do well in our system is silly. It was literally built for a non-mobile QB. A QB's mobility just adds a bonus weapon.

What?  Again, you make a general, unsupported statement/question.

So there were no "playmakers" at LSU?

Great point.

Listen to podcast above enough said.

So any opinion on a podcast is enough said for you?  If you will agree to that, I have some links I will share with you. You don't know, and you can't admit it.  I admit I don't know, which is why I rely on multiple facts and sources and then include probabilities to conclude that nobody knows for sure--which is why so many QBs bust.  But here we are in March and you have decided who wil bust and who will excel at the next level based on a podcast?

Enough said?

Hilarious.  You are full of it. 😆  Take care and good luck with that thing you do.
