My friend is a senior scout on an NFL team and is in a circle that is in the know on certain movement within the draft and certain aspects of FA. He has never been 100% correct, nor have I, but what information I do get from him is generally going to be as deep or deeper than most NFL insiders as it what is being talked about inside the NFL. If that helps.

Your posts are the bright spot of the off-season for a lot of us long timers. Really appreciate what you bring here.

1. Justin Fields
2. Trey Lance
3. Deshaun Watson
4. Zach Wilson
5. Mitch Trubisky

It's really hard to tell at this point.

Any chance for Minshew? I like your first four but I’d rather have Minshew over Trubisky.

I don't think they deal Minshew, no reason to do that.

I could see it depending on his trade value. There are more teams than ever seemingly desperate at QB. Not all of them are gonna come out of the draft or FA with their guy. The Jags might all of a sudden find themselves with a decently hot commodity.

Is Minshew any better than Teddy? That screams to me like a Bridgewater signing

Trubisky or Darnold would be worse

Minshew is much better than Teddy. Teddy is afraid to push the ball downfield. Minshew has a pair that clank.

Minshew seems like a gunslinger to me.

Am I wrong?

Teddy seems more like the General Store owner that says I can't leave the store alone when asked to join the posse.

😂I think your spot on but Minshew’s TD/Interception ratio looks pretty good for a gunslinger. He has great touch and accuracy and is pretty athletic.

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
