Per Adam Schefter, “In speaking to some teams, I don’t think this is going to deter anyone’s interest in trading for Deshaun Watson”

As I said in the original thread this should NOT deter the Panthers from pursuing Deshaun. If anything they should be more aggressive as other teams know that his value has dropped and compensation for his contract will be less than it was a week ago. Now, if criminal charges appear then the Panthers should back away.

Eeeehhh, no.

You run the risk of trading away picks and players only to see some other bombshell drop after the deal is done.

Until this comes to some sort of resolution, the Panthers shouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Honestly, nobody should if they're smart.

And if it resolves poorly, welp...

I think that they should and I think that they will. Remember that this is not criminal and is a civil suit. It shouldn’t take long to determine if criminal charges should be filed. Absence of malice, evidence and only hearsay shouldn’t bring criminal charges.
This isn’t Richardson’s team anymore and some times there is some risk involved with the decision making.
I guarantee you that Caserio’s old boss  is considering a trade with lowered compensation as we speak.

The fact that this used to be Richardson's team is a big reason why we shouldn't.

It being investigated under the NFL's personal conduct policy is another big reason. The personal conduct policy doesn't require proof, only that the accusations be believable.

Trading for him with what's hanging over his head now would be crazy, and not a good kind of crazy.

For these specific accusations to be false, then all of the women making them would have to be liars.

There's really no way around that.

So your calling Deshaun a liar and think there is no way the women was paid off. It don’t always go one way is what I’m trying to say but you keep saying that like it’s truth. SMH

I'm not calling him a liar because I don't know whether he's guilty or not.

But the reality is that he might be.

He might also be innocent, but either way, having nine or more accusers is a difficult thing to get past.

Yes if Deshaun sees they are still willing to pursue him and trust him, that will put us over the top. JS

Lol they will kick him out of the league with no proof. Damn these people are hilarious today!

Yeah these accusers are not making anything up at all, let’s not say they could be falsifying stuff about Watson wow. Seems a little one sided to me?

This being a conspiracy at this point would be obviously unprecedented and undoubtedly the biggest scandal/conspiracy in (sports) history.

no way we trade numerous first round picks and starters for a guy who could have very well played his last down in the nfl. With that being said, this entire saga smells fishy and calling it odd would be an understatement.

Accusations hurt, Watson is going to have to deal with this situation before anyone trades for him.

It reeks. The lawyer has zero credibility, the timing is amazing, the size of it all makes it hard to believe no one knew and the entire situation was a dumpster fire before this dropped.

Houston is making some history however this breaks, and it all looks bad.

    • Tmac= Slant boy 25 Renfrow= if 2021 maybe the best for dinkin Hubbard= found his hands in 25 Dowdle= great Rb hands Sanders= better catcher than blocker Horn/Tremay/Tremble/whoever get snaps= more than able to run short quick routes or stand in a spot close to LOS. Coker= should be able to add to the group That's plenty my friend along with two RBs with good hands. I know Dave is not Payton and BY isn't Brejesus. This group can pull off a Chinese copy of it tho......
    • The fact that we're STILL questioning if he should be starting is all that needs to be said.   If this week doesn't turn out well, the boiling point could hit soon.  Don't think 0-3 does it, but it could be soon.  Considering our schedule, it may happen if things fall off the rails.   We have 3 winnable games by week 9.  If we're just sitting 2-7 or 1-8 after the Packers game, that would be near the end point of this situation in its entirety.    It took what, a 1-10 start to can Reich in his first year?  I think a 1-8 start to Bryce in his 3rd would be reasonable to politely end his tenure in Carolina.
    • Pressure or no pressure Bryce Young does not have the arm talent to consistently threaten defenses and open up the whole field. We have seen this throughout his 32 career starts. The Jaguars defense in week 1 only blitzed on 20% of Bryce Young's dropbacks and they still imposed their will and forced 3 turnovers from Bryce Young. I can present you information but if you choose to ignore it and what you are seeing with your own two eyes you are beyond help.
