I also work in the field of advertising. I kinda roll my eyes at the 'based on search history' comment, because it isn't always the case. If an advertiser goes hard and bumps up their spend (very likely), it will show to a more broad audience group. Publishers have the option to limit categories or topics that can be advertised on your site. But it requires a much more pro-active approach by the publisher (website) and doesn't really make a ton of sense to do from a monetization standpoint as you're leaving Ad Revenue on the table. 

But Igo and company most likely didn't choose to place the ads here either. Just a matter of circumstance, most likely.

To add to this, if there were mentions of guns, or chat on the forums regarding the January 6th events, chances are some keywords on the forum itself is what triggered these ads. It's often contextual to what's on the page. This post alone can result in ads about tactical gear on this page.

All I can say is that I've never seen any body armor ads on this site and my wife used to sell the stuff.

I mean the huddle isn't Facebook.   But it clearly pulls to some degree your personal activity to aid in the ads.  For example,  I see all kinds of self health books on How to Deal with Always Being Right With Your Hot Football Takes.

Good point.

Regardless, the Huddle  as an entity is not receptive to any sort of criticism. It's always been pretty stubborn and I don't expect this request to be given any sort of genuine consideration. The default response is to blame or be antagonistic toward the individual bringing it up.

I must disagree. I have never once gotten an ad targeted remotely close to me. For example my adds are currently both old lady cloths and Trumper-esque cloths with an extra add for a stethoscope apparently it’s but one get one free.

Guess we all just have to take your word for it then. For what it’s worth, I don’t personally remember any of the ads you mentioned. But what do I know? 
 

Also, OP is right. Watson may well be innocent but none of us know the details. It’s pure speculation on anyone’s part. Why side one way or another before things play out in court? Seems irresponsible at best.

Regardless, just don't expect a sincere response for any issues you bring up with management. The individual is judged not the situation.

I’m not really trying to take a shot at you and I know you frequent here more than I do. Unless we are on the verge of the season, in season or in FA-Draft, I don’t visit here often. You would know better than I.

I more just roll my eyes at political stuff being reeled back into the forums in the Panthers sub. Associating June 6 protestors/rioters as domestic terrorists, no matter how right you may be about that assertion, will bring nothing positive to OPs conversation and tends to be how the main subs threads get derailed and locked. 
 

OP made a reasonable request about a football related issue. Turning it into a political issue doesn’t belong here imo

      Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.

      I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football

      I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
