Good news is we are going to get an elite player at 8 to waste right along side Cam, Luke, Olsen, Kalil, Gross, TD, Chinn, etc. All would be HoFers or potential HoFers with a competent GM/HC.

Ya know the type. the ones who don't call 7 step drops in the SB non stop until you've lost and that's literally the reason you lost. or run away top LTs and make them retire b/c they were ahead of the "you're a scumbag" train

I disagree - the best I've seen that system run was when the Broncos had Jake Plummer - a mobile QB.

You have to have a mobile QB in that system to account for the athletic zone blocking Olinemen not holding up against the pass.

I don't disagree, but Kyle Shannahan certainly seems to given the QBs he has been connected to and drafted lol

Been out of pocket all day, just getting caught up

i guess the huddle is in full meltdown by now

i am soooo glad we didn’t give up 2 #1s to move up

I hope we sit right at #8, give up nothing, and get an outstanding player

So Jake Plummer over an MVP and what should’ve been a SB victory with Matt Ryan. Or if we’re counting his Dad’s teams, Steve Young 92-94 was his resume builder and got him the DEN job and b2b SBs with Elway.

All very different type QBs and still managed to get the best out of all them. I can’t roll with the “Snake” Jr.

Elway and Young were before my time.

As I understand it though they're both mobile QBs.

I thought about that after I posted...LOL Forgot how old I am.

Young definitely was. By then Elway was at a point he wasn’t. Matt Ryan is a statue. That system has produced with many QBs. He adjusts to the QBs talents. You were right that Plummer had a great 2005.

So based on what I was just texted I think it plays out like this

1. Jax: Trevor Lawrence
2. NYJ: Zach Wilson
3. SF: Mac Jones
4. ATL: Justin Fields

So Lance still likely in the picture for us. Yes, my guy said they did indeed trade up for Mac Jones.

I hope you are correct here as trading up to 5 should be hella less expensive than 2 or 3.  Still expensive but not terribly so.  That assumes we even like Lance.

Gonna be insane talent that falls to us, I dread another year of Teddy also but I really can’t say I’m upset they didn’t yolo pay this price if they weren’t in love with the options.

That sort of sensible rational talk does not fly in this place unfortunately. Here we apparently like stupid one liners by angry drunken ranting tender box mafia rejects pissing on everything under the sun.
