What are we doing in the draft?

Generational gets thrown around here like World Class does in football.

It loses meaning when there's multiple generational talents in every Draft (or about 50 World Class players walking around).

Agreed. I think Parsons is a great prospect but not generational.

Just go dig through a article that was posted before this past August

Nah man you said multiple scouts had him as a day 2 pick.  Normally how this works is when you proclaim something like that you have to show your work.  Show me where multiple scouts had him round 2 preseason.

Not really.

just like Joe Burrow last year.    Though his stock jumped from his play on the field his senior year.  You had to dig to find where people had him a lower grade going into the year,  due to all the most recent articles.

So you cannot link one article or report where he is a day 2 pick.  Got it.  I always love the unsubstantiated claims on this board.

I don’t foresee Fitt and Rhule taking a defensive player in the first round after spending all picks on defense in 2020. Secondly, like others have mentioned, Parsons stock is going down. From a positional value standpoint and the fact that we now have Shaq, Perryman, and Riddick, he doesn’t really fit.

"IF" we are to continue our streak with going defense and taking into consideration what I think our scheme might be. If we traded down... I'd think we were targeting:

Trevon Moehrig

Jaelan Phillips

Caleb Farley

All those fit what we do and the traits we seem to look for.

If we had to go CB, I'd rather have Horn/Farley over Surtain.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
