So you saying it would be like them having S.A.M right?

So what are you going to do when Sam ends up being a mid-tier or better QB? Are you going to change your avatar to Sam in a big pink heart, and admit how short-sighted and what a bad evaluator of NFL talent you are?

If PJ goes somewhere and becomes a perennial starter, I'll do the same for him.

I’m not arguing Grier vs Walker. Honestly they both don’t belong in the NFL. Walker’s Saints game was a disaster. My post was referencing someone wanting Walker to play over Darnold which is nonsense.

I tend to judge PJ by the Lions game.

Saints game we were down 20+ late in the 4th and he started tossing up some balls for guys with 5 minutes left.  Was basically vintage early Cam mindset when games were over late.

I mean he could of just handed the ball of, kneeled down, and checked down to get out of there.

I’d prefer we bring in new guys.  Be done with Grier and PJ.   But if you give me the option I’ll take PJ all day over Grier.

Yeah again I don’t think either should be on a roster. I’m by no means advocating for Grier. Bringing in a new guy is definitely the best option. The main reason I was putting down PJ is because it was getting suggested that he start over Darnold. Just a dumb statement....

really encouraging to hear about Darnold. He is basically a rookie in my mind and really needs to be coached up as if he is just starting in this league. Start with fundamentals build on those and advance as tolerated.

    • The defense is 28 out of 32 in salary cap allocation for 2025. We have a ton of resources tied up in the offense including the highest paid OL in the league multiple 1st round WR's and multiple recent draft picks across the offense at TE and RB and we have two 1000 yard backs. Bryce and company couldn't get past Tyler Shough and his crew in 2 games. That's all there is to it. You can spin it and put the entire onus on the defense to your heart's desire it doesn't change the fact that this is an OFFENSIVE team now. If you want to argue that we should revert back to a defensive identity as we have been in the past which has brought us success then I will agree with you on that. But as it stands the onus is on the offense because that is where we have invested through the nose. Dave Canales and Bryce Young need to do a hell of a lot better than they have against the rebuilding Saints who without us should only have 2 wins this season.
    • Bryce is not trending up. He is the same QB he has always been. Bottom of the league in most categories.  If Canales thinks he can build a contender with Bryce then he is a bigger idiot then I thought.  Offense next year will have the same issues and be just as inconsistent as it was this year.  We have seen Bryce’a ceiling and it is 175 yards a game and that is not a QB you keep around as your starter. That is barely a backup.
    • Looks like Darnold should have had at least 3 picks. That'll get ugly in the playoffs eventually. Can't deny his physical talent though. You either have that or you don't. Mike Macdonald is a legit coach.
