epsiode 6 ended better than I thought.

I think it takes clear ownership of the #1 spot in terms of the TV gigs.

Really not happy with 5 or 6. There was so much more they could have done with Sylvie and second gen Loki but it was pure exposition. I feel like there was no deep closure to either of their stories. The whole thing was cookie cutter. But I’ll afford marvel the opportunity to expand on where they are going cause all be it feige is a dick he is a really good story teller.

Well, with the movies and season 2…..I don’t think closure or telling a full story  is what they were going for.   I like Sylvie.   Glad they didn’t wrap up her story yet.

I mean they opened the door to the multiverse, set up Kang the Conqueror, Enchantress all to arrive in the MCU….  Not bad for a 6 TV episode series found on TV IMO.   I think it added more to the actual upcoming story than Black Widow, an actual movie.

The show completely changes the MCU honestly.  Yeah, we now have Kang (as most expected would be the new bad) but you have the multiverse as an even bigger thing now.  They are giving us some new movies with new heroes to prepare for this huge war coming in.  No doubt the next Spiderman is all about this and Dr. Strange too.

I also believe this is how we will have X-Men and FF4 eventually in the MCU.  You couldn't just be like "oh the X-Men have been here all the time".  But now, we can have different "supers" from different multiverses coming together to fight Kang.  You can then either have them stay in their own multiverse or something happens in the story where it ends up just being one universe and everyone in it.  Lots of possiblities.

I also expect Thanos to be back from one of these multiverses and help fight Kang.

yeah, I think the next Spiderman movie will feel a lot like that cartoon Into the Spiderverse movie that came out a couple year ago.  Which was pretty solid for a cartoon.

I'm really hoping they rip off that movie and instead of having the old Spidermen playing their exact same characters they did in their movies.   Like having Toby whatever his name is play an old and washed up Spiderman or something like Into the Spiderverse had.   And also bringing Miles Morales hopefully.

Croc-Loki!  Best variant ever!!!

I was so excited to watch each episode.  A really fun show in my opinion.  I was slightly disappointed with the lack of development of Loki and Silvie towards the end after a strong start, BUT I can see the storytelling opening up for the entire MCU.  Also, Jonathan Majors is da bomb!  He was pure delight in his scenes!  I can't wait to see him own the MCU as Kang the Conqueror!

While I think the comic/sci fi fandom has been time travelled to death at this point, I sure did enjoy their rendition of Kang. He'll be back for the next Ant-Man/Wasp movie, but I think they are building up something big, like the next Thanos-level event for him.

    • So happy that LaMelo got the layup to go and *won* the game. How happy he was after the game, that's what a young dude like him needs to keep it going and keep the belief going. If we lose, LaMelo gets blamed, and he's got an offseason to be in his head and hear the noise like the last few years. The season might still have an ugly ending, but weirdly feels like last night was HUGE for this team moving forward.
    • My thoughts on Carolina's post-season run: Obviously, the season began with a below average Freddie Andersen and everyone hoping Kochetkov would pick up the slack, until he got hurt. Enter Brandon Bussi who had a made-for-TV movie type run until the end of the season, when he came crashing back to earth, his save % drops under .900 and the team needs to score 5-6 goals to win games. Freddie has shown signs of a resurgence and Bussi looked pretty good the last 2 games of the season, but both sample sizes are small and questions abound for all 3 goalies. The physicality of playoff hockey will take its toll. Save for a few players, the Canes best players are small, their top 2 lines are small and there's no getting around that. The only way to protect the size disadvantage is a strong forecheck. Allowing opposing teams to establish the offensive zone and create board battles with smaller players will hurt Carolina. The Stankoven line could be a difference-maker. If they continue to play well against lower defensive pairs, it only adds to the depth of the team.  The Aho line had stretches of absenteeism during the season. The Canes cannot afford to have them dry up offensively and leave the scoring to Ehlers and the Stankoven line. If they aren't performing well, teams will simply roll their best lines out on the Canes best playing lines.  If the Canes can get by Ottawa and get some help from Boston against Buffalo, I think they have a legit shot to make the finals. Make no mistake, I think their toughest challenges are Ottawa and Buffalo in the East.
