I wonder if we should create something like a new player info thread.  I found an article on Fox I found interesting, but it was a bit of a fluff piece so I decided not to create a thread for it.

Maybe we should have a thread where we can just keep posting anything about the new players.  This post on Reddick could go there too.

We could call it new panthers or something.

Making a thread about a player on this team makes perfect sense. Especially new additions like Reddick. Like I says earlier, I knew he played for Rhule in college, but had no clue he was a CB.

 Is Reddick good at coverage?

Yes.  He started at corner in college.

Its true about Reddick playing Corner, but has a traditional LB for the Cards he wasn't anything special in coverage. I think he really struggled when forced into that role. He really took off as a pass rusher when they moved him to that Edge/OLB spot. That is what he is really good at. Its also how he was used at Temple, and why he was drafted.

I just realized how loaded DL is…

Right?! I was wondering where Fox goes, but he or YGM will have to be depth with Jones, Brown, and Burns grabbing the other 3 line spots. YGM could be in for a big year too, he was starting to put it together towards the end, if he can stay healthy.

Are you saying we should just post threads on the articles we find on the new players?

I was suggesting creating a New Panthers thread where we'd post those kind of articles.  I dunno, I have  a bunch of them, but I don't want to clutter it up in here.

I could see where stuff could get burried in one thread though.

OK I'll just spread them out.

I don’t think there are any rules, but I was talking about making a Reddick thread for example. People can post highlights, stats, quotes, or their own analysis of the player. I just suggest new, because sone if us (like myself) are less familiar with them. Yeah I get not wanting to derail someone else’s post. CBS might deserve it though…

CBS does deserve it.  Little at LT...seriously?  I guess its possible but there is no signs at all for that.

I like your idea of one thread per player.

Our FA signings as a whole were a little head scratching. But our DL signings were fantastic.

It's hard to not be excited about what that unit could look like this season. If guys like Perryman and Reddick work out.....look out. Those dudes are going to start racking up the sacks.

    • Great point.    I would lke to add that there is another QB on the roster who was terrible over the middle--Kenny Pickett.
    • I don't think this is the year for Carolina, unfortunately.  I think they will have to make a decision on the QB position-all we know is that Bryce has year 5, but a long term deal has not been signed--yet--and they would be smart to take a "wait and see" approach.  I have not kept up, and I see a path to upside for Bryce, but I do not think we have aggressively pursued a QB when our QB was mediocre to worse than mediocre.  yes, his numbers are improving--but he has adapted by eliminating what he does poorly and not improving on what he does poorly.  Just my take and I have no data to support this view.   Basically, we go as Bryce goes, so the approach is not to bring in a QB to have him compete until we find one, but it is to make Bryce as good as he can be--is that good enough? Season ticket holders buy the hope of winning rings, not winning 8 games. Last year, Bryce had a resurgence.  Take away TMac and Rico Dowdle.  How good was he?  I still have hope.  Not a hater of plan A, but a hater because we have no plan B.
    • Yeah man, I've been here for a very very long time. Couldn't even begin to tell you what year. Maybe 2004 or 5? I've never really been super active, just enjoy reading everyone's opinions and discussions. I'll chime in from time to time. I have had a few different accounts over the years. It's always been a fun place for me to check in on my favorite team. Hopefully we can keep the place running for a long while still. I also would like to recommend bringing back the Lovely Ladies page!
