Good QBs in established roles haven’t been playing.  Matt Ryan, Tannehill, Dak, Murray.

Cam, Goff, Hurts, etc all have played.

Pretty clear line.  And Darnold easily falls into the Goff, Cam, Hurts group that needs the reps.

These guys are throwing what 7 passes? How many did Darnold just throw in our joint practice against the Colts? It’s no different than leaving Darnold out and extra series or two if he needs it in game 3.

Rhule said he is using this game to establish depth and our roster. I believe we have to make some cuts next week and he wants to make sure everyone on the fence gets a chance to play.

Also I for one would like to have our line established before throwing Darnold out there against the Colts defense. If he plays week 1 preseason and gets hurt, fans would be screaming and crying.

I actually doubt that. He isn’t here to be our savior and he isn’t a franchise QB.

He needs to play in these games, period. He’s earned literally nothing in this league.

Did you read the part where Rhule said we protected well. Except for those "Exotice Blitzes"? Maybe we can wait until we actually see them perform before we go all Chicken Lilttle on their azz?

I know you have predetermined our line sux. But you know, you could be wrong?

I'm still trying to figure out how they are to plan for exotic blitzes that they have never seen and there were no game planning...for practice. Folks do know that there's no game planning for these glorified practices called preseason right?

Also they need to figure out the backup  QB spot as well.  My guess he's not on the team.

Darnold will get his "live practice " time in before the season starts.

It's practice.  What film is out there for them to study on these opponents for practice? I think you guys look for things to bitch about.

Huddlerz wouldn't do that? Would they? The negativity is bad enough. Now we have to deal with Worse Case Scenarios as well.

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
