We can't have a number 2 who struggles to complete 50% of his passes. He has regressed and gotten worse from last year to now. He looked awful in the preseason. His best game was 50% completions. The other two were even more horrific.

You'll either stop posting here or make a new account and be back soon enough arguing to support the next trash tier QB to take over Sams job.

Actually I got the idea from @SmittysLawnGuy

It's probably going break the huddle, for most users online, September 12, especially if we lose...

Do you realize how pathetic it makes you look when you do something like that?   good lord....Aren't you a Panthers fan?

I Think it possible Grier wins the QB2 job. He has looked better then Walker so far this season, tho IMO neither could be considered a "quality" option as a backup QB. Sam is not in danger of losing his job at this point.

Neither is Sam Darnold , why do you think the Jets ,one of the worst teams in the league last year, moved on from him

If he is the best we could get,we are in for some dark days/years ahead

Why bring this old troll thread back up?

Darnold has the potential to be a franchise QB if he can put it together. He has physical gifts that PJ can only dream of.

IF he does not work out we still need a QB, with PJ you know from the jump we need a new QB.

Winning our backup QB spot was basically a contest for who is the tallest midget, both options sucked.

I think Joe and Sean felt like...

He moves the team...knows the offense..makes the checks...MAKES OFF SCHEDULE PLAYS..pushes the ball downfield...can be EXPLOSIVE...n so far this preseason...the MAIN GOAL was for him TO TAKE CARE OF THE FOOTBALL(NO TURNOVERS)...was the main thing he had to work on...hmm u know u asked earlier...who going be what number? who's going go?...so many things can change in the next day or so, that's why i'm hestiate to say SOMEONE IS THIS...but in terms if he played today he would be our number 2 QB- Coach Rhule 8/31/2021

Nepotism doesn't mean he earned the job. He played horrible. You saw it. You wanted to talk all this trash the first week and then magically when he started completing no passes you ran away, posted gifs, and no longer gave your updates or thoughts on the game itself anymore while he was in. He will never be a good starting QB in the NFL. You were talking about him taking over for Sam when he was never in competition with Sam. He was in competition with Grier. He lost the competition. The team went with him because Rhule likes him. It clearly has 0 to do with performance. Because he didn't perform. 41% completions in preseason is trash tier performance.

Even you couldn't deny that and thats why you stopped giving your updates on his performance. It was hard to watch. If he is a starting QB for this team at any point this season we have lost all hope of this season ending in a playoff trip.

One final thought, it says a lot about you when you are visiting another teams forum hoping that the starting QB sucks on our own team so your backup can get a crack at the job.

    • I disagree. For better or worse Bryce likes to throw floaters to predetermined areas regardless of what the reciever is doing and bringing those down is XL's bag. I wanted Ladd but now I think this right call. Burners and slot recievers are a dime a dozen but legit jump ball specialists are not.
