Potential Cuts around the NFL

This article has some good insight pulling from each teams’ fan sites on their best/most notable players to potentially get cut:

There is one I think stands out on the OL front: Jamarco Jones OT/G Seattle

He could be a decent add that could definitely be a good depth piece. Has starting experience. Nothing awful and Fit could have done a fair bit of work there bringing him in from his time in Seattle. Versatile depth. LT 4 years at OSU, solid guard, played RT and RG most recently.

Any catch y’all’s eye? There’s some interesting LBs on it I’ll make a follow up post for.

Hasn't Seattle had one of the worst OLs in the league in recent seasons? Not sure their castoffs are the ones I want.

I’m thinking more so the players that we would have past scouting on and Fit likely dove into a bit on. Sea’s line has been notably bad but doesn’t mean you can’t find a diamond…or let’s say Kay’s clearance jewelry in the rough lol.

Yodney Cajuste is another interesting name that could be an LG/LT type depth piece. Pats draft pick in 2019 (101st pick) and is getting lost due to minor injuries on one of the better OLs in the league. And it seems we like those injury prone ones haha

would be nice, but if he is a serviceable RT, we may get outbid.

Yeah the OL market could be thin.

I’d like to think we can find a Tecklenberg upgrade behind Paradis. Something tells me Paradis ends up on the injured list this year. Just a gut feeling and want something at least near Tyler Larsen level adequate.

LB Joel Iyiegbuniwe in Chicago is interesting having high hopes but hasn’t shown up really. They brought in Ogletree who’s getting rave reviews and could be a casualty to consider for depth.

He should definitely be getting cut.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
