I absolutely loathe Chris Simms' mock draft every year, but I enjoyed his take on the NFC south.

Partly because he has us going to the playoffs.

The Saints are interesting.  If Winston somehow overcomes his turnover issue he could be a dangerous QB.  He has some weapons and Payton, as much as I hate him, is probably the one coach that can get him under control. 

They could be really good or abysmal.  Depending on Winston.

Very few teams jettison their HOF QB and just march to the playoffs the following year.

I agree, but from what I saw in preseason Winston looked good.  Obviously it was preseason with no gameplanning.

I think what many teams will do is bring lots of pressure and make him make bad decisions.  However, if he doesn't get rattled he might do well.

I hope he bombs but you can't ignore that Payton might be able to control him.  If he can, New Orleans could do better than most expect.
