We will win more this year but not many, see 6-7 wins. If you think this team is going to get a wild card then you’re in for a lot of disappointment.

We had that last year if not for Joey Slye.  He straight up lost us 2 games.  This team is better than last year's team.

The Panthers will have a good season if two things happen:

The defense can get off the field on 3rd downs unlike last season

The offense can sustain drives and score more consistently in the red zone

Thats really it. Those two areas improve over last year this could be a playoff team.

100%. It's the difference between last year's results and a playoff team. Converting first downs, when you really boil it down, is the key. We convert more and we keep them from converting as many. We could have been an 11 or 12 win team last year with just a handful of third down stops by our defense.

This year, we have CMC back and if he can stay healthy and perform as before, then we will convert again and again. Our defense... on paper it should be stouter, but we need Snow to call the defense like he knows it is stout -- aggressive, not passive like last year.

And u all of a sudden think Santoso is the answer? Idk how but the oline got worse from last year as well.

Santoso made his kicks didn't he?  At least he doesn't have the yips.  Of course he's not going to be 100%, but one bad kick isn't going screw up his focus the rest of the game like the guy he replaced.  Our OL is the same as last year, not worse, not better.  Okung couldn't stay healty at LT and LG was iffy.  Paradis, Miller and Moton are the exact same dudes as last year.

Jameis might be hot garbage 10 times this season but if he's throwing for 400 3td and 1int against us... we still probably lose twice.

I think Sam Darnold showed enough to say he can win here. But the fact he seems aware of his problems and hasn't really fixed them is concerning. Maybe he's just an okay qb.

That's the thing with Jameis. You could be facing an MVP caliber QB or you could be facing a Dwayne Haskins level QB. You just never know which version of Jameis is gonna show up.

How do you know how Santoso is going to act after a miss kick lol. He has never started a game and been put in any real game situations.

No more than you, but apparently you think he sucks?  I guess we will have to wait and see who is correct on this.

We have been 5-11 for two years and being in a small market makes us the afterthought team. Dallas is a super bowl team every year to the media only to see 8-8…media also thinks unless you have Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, or Pat Mahomes you cant score points in this league or something.

Whats weird is last year was supposed to be the tank for Trevor year but we didn’t and actually did a lot better than the pundits thought but it is what it is.

It’s that weird time where either your team is trash or elite in the media’s eyes but I would gladly take 9-8 and a wild card birth this year because it means we are trending right.

Just you do you boo…you do you…go Panthers

    • As the demand for apartments grows parking is becoming limited and it’s sad. I use to tailgate but I just park at uncc deck now and train in and head to rhino market. My tailgate grill hates me.
    • It simply depends on perspective. CMC, when healthy and on the field, has a higher YPC and YPR than LT. Yes, he's been injury prone, but this is simply a "all quarter-century team." There are certainly different stats and different lists. If this were a list or about a team simply based on longevity, then of course LT wins that every time, but some lists are more subjective and nuanced depending upon what they are, and it's not necessarily a reflection upon a person's ability to analyze sports.
    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
