3. CMC: I really can't tell you how much he effects the game. Our loss today prob would have been a win if he was in there. Darnold is not ready to take a team on his back much less with a Oline not fit to block for a ACC team. Getting McCaffrey back will be a huge boost. Add in Tommy Tremble and we will have a pretty good attack when he's back.

What makes you think he will be available the rest of the season?  …or even the majority of remaining games ?

this team is once again a one trick pony on offense and without CMC that offense is abysmal

thought that was the very thing Brady was brought into improve

even with Dallas game, Had they not gone into prevent, the Panthers would not have racked up the numbers

once before the panthers were a one trick  pony with one star who was oft injured  behind a shitty o line

that didn’t end well

All world he may be, but can’t help the club in the tub

We need a great QB. If that means Watson then go for it. If that means the draft, then pick your target and make a move. Sam might lead us to 8-9 limbo this season, or it might be might much worse if CMC is injured. I want the best player on this team to be our QB, not our RB. CMC is small and delicate, and he's lived a lovely pampered life. He's not that guy who is just this junkyard dog who crawled out of hell and is ready for punishment to escape poverty. CMC is always going have a nagging this, or a hurting that. We need to expect that he's going to miss a lot of games from here on out.

We don't have to be a team that depends entirely on on CMC just to be decent. The blueprint of building up the defense is not working. You saw what will happen if you try to stifle a popular team's offense. The refs let the o-line hold. Now what? You lose. Even if they don't hold the D will get tired and take plays off. What we need, and I have said this since Cam fell apart, is a potent offense, and a scrappy cheap defense. Instead the team I hate the most, the Cowboys, have that and we have the opposite.

Step 1: Find a great QB.

Step 2: Build a brick wall o-line.

Step 3: Add weapons if needed.

Step 4: Check to make sure the defense is still cheap.

Something like that.

Rhule's plan:

Step 1: Bring in a vet QB who is unproven.

Step 2: Patchwork poop o-line.

Step 3: Add a weapon if he's a steal.

Step 4: LOAD UP THE DEFENSE! All your CBs are MINE! Draft picks EVERYWHERE!

God help us.

first step build O line..................practically and QB can move the chains with a good O line at this level of play.

Yeah another loss sucks and the world seems like it's about to end. Still we have a easy schedule ahead and the eagles were almost as good a team as the Cowboys. Yes both are Avg teams but sometimes when injuries bite and you're a avg team this happens. Things are not as lost as some might think and even could end up better than expected. Here are some of my thoughts moving forward.

1.Oline: This is by far the worst Oline I have seen a team field ever but Rhule is being forced by injuries to play guys who could be good to great in the future. We will consistently see teams run stunts on us because the Texans wrote the roadmap to beating our line. Dallas definitely perfected it and Philly just copied their paper. The Good news is we actually have the right Tackles where they should be now. If Brady and Rhule are smart they will leave it that way. We need to leave it and let the line gel. I would also like to see Brown beside Moton but I'm guessing injury is the only way we will.

2. Defense: while they really are not to blame for our losses getting our new CBs up to speed will take a few weeks. I feel we will see those TDs slowly become less and less with Henderson ,Jackson, and Gilmore gel. It's not ideal to be rebuilding early season but we can't help JC went down.

So yes my prediction is still the same. Yes I don't think a big losing streak is coming. I see us taking on a struggling Vikings team pretty well. Our next big test will be the Patriots and will be the bar on how well we have come. So don't melt down, know we are a building team that is probably going to end up around. 500 and relax and just enjoy the ups and downs of the rest of the season.

Dallas an average team, woah I stopped reading there! LMAO

It's funny how easy it is to notice the posters on this site who weren't posting during the 3-game win streak, who have now coincidentally started posting again after the Eagles game.

Same posters that lied through Allen's franchise times of 4 games and Bridgewater's magical morphing into the answer. Time and patients is the answer. Week opponents, no CMC, fans overreacting based on hope and film bring a crashing reality in all these cases. 9 days ago we were contenders, now we are what we were said to be in the offseason. Nothing has changed.

People just wanted to celebrate and let them, the inevitable came to pass. Back to reality. Another quality backup starting for the year.

Look you have to see the whole picture.

1. Darnold is going to have games like this. It's his first season in a new system.

2. We are not going to be able to score more than 18 unless we get the OL figured out. Unfortunately the only way to change that is drafting well.

3. Until we get ST up to par this isn't going to be a good team either.

It's year two and to expect greatness out of a team that was completely stripped of talent two years ago is a tall order. We will get there. Just not this year.
