This the weird stuff y’all do on this forum, get pissy when there’s a thread about cam but keep bringing him up constantly

we can play this game, cam played against a better eagles team at the time and got sacked 9 times, on darnold’s 3 int neither were from pressure, he made horrible reads followed by a horrible decision, this is sam’s team but this situation isn’t even similar, for someone who knows football to compare having Byron bell and Nate chandler, a converted dt to o linemen as starters at the time is a bit telling

And your response pretty clearly indicates you didn't understand the contradiction in your own statements.

That, plus your arguing that it would be better to get a new quarterback rather than actually building an o-line is kind of 🤔

Been a few of those...that one guy posted the meme in another thread clowning this.

What's especially funny about it is that's pure Ron Rivera thinking.

"Forget building an offensive line. Just get a quarterback who can run around and everything will be fine" 😕

He never said that tho. He said we need a QB that can play ball when the offensive line is outmatched. Your offensive line isn't going to hold up perfectly in every game. And when they don't hold up, you need a QB that can carry you the rest of the way.

He actually said the two aren't mutually exclusive. Which they arent. You can have a good QB AND a good oline. We have neither. I hope as much as anybody that Sam improves. But so far, he has only regressed.

All you gotta say is: 2015 MVP. #1 scoring offense in the league with no line and no receivers. Cam did that.

Sam threw 3 bad interceptions yesterday. The poor offensive line play is inexcusable. But to place the 3 interceptions all on them is disingenuous. Sam made poor decisions and they'll do anything to refute any point that says otherwise. Including ignoring the videos of all 3 interceptions that I've posted in this thread that doesn't show him get hit once, but did show him make 3 bad decisions.

Yeah idk why it’s hard for them to see that the ints the last two games have just been boneheaded plays that plagued Sam in NY.

if it was truly the o line Id call them out, which they are horrible in the interior but they are not the reason for the 3 ints yesterday

Your reading comprehension has always been honey buns on here, never said anything about getting a new qb.

There’s isn’t a contradiction because even with putrid interior oline play the ints from sam weren’t because of that, I can advocated for upgrades on the o line and still expect my qb not to gift wrap pro bowl tickets to opposing dbs whenever the few times the o line holds up

You can tell who’s happy with a potential playoff appearance and the ones who want a chip for the team, standards have to be higher

Trust me, I know. What's the point if you can't win it all? This offense isn't there and it won't be until we replace Sam and the offensive line. Picking up his option was the dumbest thing we did in the off season.

    • not sure if any of this is news, but a good summary of our situation heading into training camp.  It's sure gonna be good getting Derrick back. After missing virtually all of the 2024 season, Panthers defensive tackle Derrick Brown is aiming for a full return to the field during training camp later this summer, per Joseph Person of The Athletic. Brown tore his meniscus in Week 1 and underwent season-ending surgery that has kept him limited through spring practices, though he did participate in “walk-throughs and light side work” during mandatory minicamp, according to Person. Brown originally stated a desire to be ready for the 2025 regular season, but his timeline appears to have moved up. Brown’s injury was particularly disappointing after a career-best 2023 season. He led all defensive linemen with 103 total tackles and was named to his first Pro Bowl, earning him a four-year, $96MM extension from the Panthers in April 2024. While he has never been a prolific pass rusher, Brown’s size and power has consistently commanded double-teams and created opportunities for his teammates. His impact was evident last season, as Carolina’s run defense ranked dead-last in his absence. The Panthers spent significant resources this offseason on defensive line depth, which should allow them to manage Brown’s usage more carefully coming off a major injury. He played a whopping 940 defensive snaps in 2023 (89% of the team’s total) and was on the field for almost every play before his injury last year. With new teammates Tershawn Wharton, Bobby Brown III, and Cam Jackson ready to share the load, Derrick Brown can take a lower snap share to stay fresh and healthy for the entire season. Here are a few updates on other Panthers returning from injuries:     https://www.profootballrumors.com/2025/06/panthers-injury-updates-brown-tremble-barno-wallace
