Only the loud minority want it.  They would sell their souls for a game.

you would think by now those people would learn.

They have spent years wantng us to be paper champs and win the off season and make flashy hires.

Tepper gave them that with Matt Rhule hire and Joe brady as OC also Fitts won the draft and offseason with his trades got everyone talking and media buzzing same as the bucs did for years before Brady.

now they want the new shiny toy in Watson lol.

Twitter dumbasses do not bolster your argument.

If we get him, BofA will be packed to the rim with cheering fans in the first home game he starts. The actual minority will be people who stop rooting for the team if we do land him.

No, we want a true, game changing franchise Quarterback.

Oh poo I didn't realize Watson wanted it public and the defendants didn't want it public....

A lot of people don't know that. They see one bad thing (in this case 22 lol) next to someone's name and boom, they are guilty in their eyes. Watson could've been cleared this with the settlement. He wants to clear his name.

It's all about risk. With Watson you're giving up a huge amount for a guy who has a very real chance of not playing for a long time.

On the other hand you can roll the dice on a young QB in the draft.

At this point in time I think it's a better idea to roll the dice in the draft.

Deshaun Watson is going to play football again.  That is a 100% fact.  So we should be okay with the league letting him play, just as long as he doesn't play for our team?  Because that is what it boils down to.

I think if we do somehow end up getting him, then Tepper will have done his homework with the league and verified that there is no suspension on the horizon.  He does not strike me as the type of guy to just hope it goes his way in a situation like this where the stakes are so high.

Totally with you there.  We should have just kept Cam and called it a day.  We would not be having any of these conversations right now.

If we properly managed Cam... like protected him and handled his injuries correctly... maybe we'd still have him today. But we don't want the Cam Newton today.

    • I agree. I’d make the move because I don’t see us sniffing the playoffs and let’s be honest TMac, Legette and Coker better be our top 3 future. If they aren’t and we need Thielen to replace one of them, then we need to draft yet another 1st round WR, SMH. Suffice it to say, Thielen isn’t good enough to get us into the playoffs so let’s get the young guys starting so we know if they aren’t good enough. We still have so many assumptions about whether players are who we need them to be that holding onto Thielen for 3-7 wins isn’t worth passing on a mid round pick (3rd to 5th/swaps). We’ve had some success with later round picks/UDFAs and need depth.
    • If you move Thielen I think you almost have to keep Renfrow. You need some sort of veteran presence in the locker room and Renfrow would be good insurance in the slot. I'm sure we have Coker penciled in to start there but you also have to be keeping Coker in the back of your head as XL insurance on the outside if he doesn't step up. If he flounders again, I wouldn't wait too awfully long to replace him with Coker outside and slide Renfrow into the slot and keep it moving.
    • Playing the same role is different than having the same style.  Cam Newton and Drew Brees both played QB but arent the same type in any way.
