I know Cam is the popular "what if" right now but honestly, but we gave away Kyle Allen for what amounted to Kenny Robinson.  

Rivera is playing Heinecke because he's pulling a Rivera but by all accounts, I think Allen is better.  He would've been a completely reasonable plug starter/life time backup.  Now we're all over the place with the Teddys, Darnolds, PJ Walker, and Matt Barkleys of the world. Could have just stuck with Allen until we found an obvious upgrade.

They're smoking some serious sh*t.  His preseason was:

16/39 (41% completion), 252 yards, 1 TD

Plenty of QBs available after that last game.  They should've known to find someone else to backup Sam at that point if they REALLY thought they had a playoff team outside of the QB spot.
