Part of coaching is coaching your players to execute your gameplan, or making a gameplan your players can execute. Incompetent coaching either way.

This is some BS.  If this was true then Sam should still be the Qb.. All you have to do is coach him up right?? Forget the fact no matter how good you coach him up he has to be able to excute what you're coaching...

The player missed assignments, tackles and plays all day...

They didn't.. They came out of Man when it was clear that Djax couldn't cover Mcclarin..

then why did they continue to put DJax on him?  Why didn’t we slide Gilly on him.  Instead trying to completely adjust the Fugging scheme.

So choosing not to blitz and pressure a third tier qb is on the players? Stfu and be banned

And leave our Secondary 1 on 1 when they were getting burnt all day was the call right?? And person in this same thread just said they didn't change up.. When that was a exact example of changing up...

I don’t buy at all that the guys on our squad “couldn’t cover.”

A couple of the throws Heinike made were ridiculous. One in the end zone to Sims? That went between three guys. So in part I think it was luck. In part it was scheme. Even the throw that McLaurin missed toward the end of the game…everyone was out of position. It was just very poorly adjusted imo.

Rhule doesn’t understand the nfl game. Brady is an atrocious game day playcaller. The seat needs to be getting real warm. The team is built to win right now. Can’t spend four years hoping they figure it out or this could turn real ugly real quick.

these are the kinds of games you’re expected to win when you wear those words inside the back of your jersey

That’s the standard around here

Rhule has yet to do it

Really ugly looks. So we were in some kind of zone, only rushed 4, no blitzes, LB's were just floating around aimlessly

Well he’s injured for one thing. It’s an ok argument to say player execution if it’s a play or two. If it’s “all day” that is 100% on coaching. Coaches also have a say on which players are on the team. Poor talent evaluation is also incompetent coaching.

And all day I saw missed tackles missed assignments and missed play making opportunities from players who were in position to do what they have all season... That's not coaching fault!!

    • My thoughts on Carolina's post-season run: Obviously, the season began with a below average Freddie Andersen and everyone hoping Kochetkov would pick up the slack, until he got hurt. Enter Brandon Bussi who had a made-for-TV movie type run until the end of the season, when he came crashing back to earth, his save % drops under .900 and the team needs to score 5-6 goals to win games. Freddie has shown signs of a resurgence and Bussi looked pretty good the last 2 games of the season, but both sample sizes are small and questions abound for all 3 goalies. The physicality of playoff hockey will take its toll. Save for a few players, the Canes best players are small, their top 2 lines are small and there's no getting around that. The only way to protect the size disadvantage is a strong forecheck. Allowing opposing teams to establish the offensive zone and create board battles with smaller players will hurt Carolina. The Stankoven line could be a difference-maker. If they continue to play well against lower defensive pairs, it only adds to the depth of the team.  The Aho line had stretches of absenteeism during the season. The Canes cannot afford to have them dry up offensively and leave the scoring to Ehlers and the Stankoven line. If they aren't performing well, teams will simply roll their best lines out on the Canes best playing lines.  If the Canes can get by Ottawa and get some help from Boston against Buffalo, I think they have a legit shot to make the finals. Make no mistake, I think their toughest challenges are Ottawa and Buffalo in the East.
    • Melo apologized and said he had been hit on the head and didn't know where he was at.
    • Him crying like a bitch when melo finally got to the foul line and play had to be paused was a horrible look for him. Should have T'd him up. They got every call all night outside Ball's dirty play and you could argue Bam was about to step on Melos wrist when that happened too and it was more a get off me swipe then I'm trying to trip you. Bam sold it too because that's what the pussy ass heat players are taught to do and then they cry when it doesn't work
