Horn played 2 games.. Gillmore has been a part time player.. The player who has been consistently out there and playing is Djax.. And this team for 11 games has a top 5 ranked defense.. That has to mean something..

Should he be cut some slack? Maybe as an individual.

Is Djax having a great year otherwise? Yes, he is looking pretty good in pass and run game.

The point is, the coaching staff did absolutely nothing about it, even after multiple glaringly obvious exposures to parts of Djax's game and mismatch. 

The thread is much more about bashing the coaching staff.

Its more about the coaching but DJax and Rhule have both confirmed DJax was trying to jump routes and make a splash play rather than stay with his guy. He figured he was going to pick on Heine and got picked on himself. Once he was clearly doing that he should have been sat for a minute to let him think on it and have Gilmore on 17 anyway as he is their best WR even just coming into the game.

Wasn't he CB #1 in those 2 games?

They did!!!! They went to a zone.. They move coverage over to Mcclarin.. They doubled him.. Then Washington started running the ball down our throats.. And other player in that offense started making plays.. They made adjustments it just didn't work I'm sorry..

They are going to have to make adjustments quicker. That was the knock on the last coaching staff. You get one play and a bounce back attempt. After that, move on for the game. WFT did that with Gibson yesterday. Once he fumbled, he was done for the whole first half because he was shook about it.

And McKissic murdered us… Rivera might have just learned something from his mistakes.

Then when he put Gibson back in he ran like a man possessed.

Not sure if Rivera would have made a change like that while he was here but at least he seems to be learning.

I never said he hasn't take strides. I stated clearly he is playing well but still not a shutdown corner. I'm happy for the guy, seriously. I am also not going to pretend he is a top CB in the NFL. That is ridiculous and lacks contexts. He is playing well (good and solid but not great due to his limitations) and has contributed does not equal being a top CB, that's what we were discussing. 

Being realistic isn't an attack on the guy, he is playing better than he ever has but the staff still needs to put him in a realistic and good position or yesterday will repeat.

Keith Taylor: Had a bad game and don't feel comfortable putting him on WR1

CJ Hen: Had an pretty alright to good game. Don't feel comfortable putting him on WR1.

 

Donte had a bad game but has put together plenty of good tape this year. 

 

YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD HAVE HELPED? WHAT WE HAVE DONE ALL YEAR ON DEFENSE AND BRING CONSISTENT PRESSURE.

He only had 2 catches in the second half, for a total of 22 yards.

      Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan is putting the league on notice early into his NFL career, and 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan is well aware.  “I think he’s a stud,” Shanahan told reporters Thursday. “He’s going to be one of the best receivers in this league sooner than later. He’s got all the skill sets to do it, and I think he’s just getting started.”  Through 11 games played, McMillan has racked up 748 receiving yards on 54 receptions. He ranks sixth in the NFL in receiving yards and leads all rookies in the category.  Carolina selected McMillan as the No. 8 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. San Francisco had the 11th overall pick.  Did the receiver out of Arizona catch Shanahan’s eye in draft preparation?  “Yeah, big time,” Shanahan said.  Shanahan also said that he thought the receiver would be taken well ahead of the 49ers’ draft position, but the team did their due diligence when scouting the best overall draft picks in the 2025 class.       In basically every win but Atlanta he's had 2-3 plays that were a big deal but he also was part of why we needed those 2-3 plays instead of just cruising.
