Hell some people are wanting to roll with Darnold next year because our line is terrible. You have to have a QB to compete. If there is one we like we need to try to obtain him. Best case scenario is new coach and new QB next year.

Any QB we get is going to be running for their life behind this line, just like we've seen all year. It is absolutely unacceptable to not overhaul the OL this offseason. OL first, then QB.

True.

But this fan base believes Sam Darnold is a crap QB, regardless of the O-line. On the other hand, the same fan base believes Cam Newton's issues are because of the O-line.

Just depends on the weather, I guess.....

I think we're in for another year of poor to mediocre QB play regardless next year. But with an overhauled OL, at least we would be in position to get our franchise guy in 2023.

Also, Arizona didn't waste precious time with a incompetent head coach, they fired him after one year.

Tepper needs to take note.

Exactly

I’m afraid that won’t happen

it breaks my heart to say I no longer care and can’t support what is being trotted out there

some of the best times of my life have happened in that stadium with my friends

a pro coach that doesn’t get in today’s nfl  priority one and 2 are qb and LT, the franchise is doomed

it’s pointless doom I feel right now   I’m not a billionaire  owner  I have no power

as the saying goes, stand it, change it or leave it    Those are the only 3 logical really choices to any situation

Both of those coaches went out and got the QB that they wanted. Murray looks like the real deal, and McVay decided Goff was garbage and shipped him off to the football wasteland known as Detroit, and managed to get Stafford in the process. A great QB is everything.

don't forget, we wanted stafford.

I know you have been one of the most loyal Panthers fans and I'm sorry it has come to this.

Hopefully, Tepper doesn't wait another year to do the right thing.

Dave needs to send Rhule and his staff packing.

ASAP

Thank you very much

it has surprised me at how sad it makes me

I guess when a person watches incompetence for so long that’s what one gets used to.

as I watched those two teams last night. I knew no matter how long Matt Rhule stays and builds his little pipe dream in SC with Tepper, it isn’t going to produce a pro team. It just isn’t

Tepper used Cam to put people in the seats  to hear Rhule blast his players week after week, fane after game makes me want to vomit

Rhule, whose team’s game plans rival Pop Warner, has zero clue what a Nfl game plan should look like

If you are picking high and the QB you like/need is there you take him. Assuming we are high on one this draft we should do that. Start BC at LT, Moton at RT, give Brown a shot at RG, draft another OL in 4/5th round and sign a FA to piece together something until next offseason. Then you sit back and build your line.

    • I see Bryce's development this way: He improved when his supporting cast improved.  TMac and Dowdle saved his arse last year, but in fairness, most good QBs have good WRs and good RBs--and good OLs.   The 2025 OL underperformed, actually. They were above average, but they should have been elite if you consider the salary cap.   As soon as we signed Lewis and Hunt, I started thinking, "That's not sustainable.  With Ickey about to get paid a LT salary, Moton and Hunt grabbling $50m per season combined, and Lewis around $17m--that would be nearly $100m and the Center just walked.  Yikes.  What does that mean?  Rico walks, Mays walks, and we do not have a top 5 WR on a second contract.  We do not have an elite TE, and only 1 is on a modest second contract. And now Bryce will demand $50m for his incremental rise to mediocrity?   So when we sign Bryce, we will get weaker at other positions.  Hunt, Moton, maybe Ickey and Lewis, will all be casualties--that is the right move regardless (not sure yet about Ickey, but he was not elite) Bryce is one lucky, entitled camper.  No competition since being drafted, and he lost his job for a while to the aging clipboard holder.  Now we are bringing in UDFAs and busts to compete with him.
    • Probably not.  If we are taking a QB, it would be a prospect to replace Bryce and not a flyer type player.  I can't say for sure, but I doubt he would have cracked the top 3-4 QBs even if he were to play this coming season.
    • The Giants, Cardinals  and Dolphins should have moved on, but they didn't and ended up cutting their QB early into a monster second contract and had to eat a TON of dead cap money.
