So signing Reddick just gets waved?  Getting a pass rusher that good is easy stuff right?  Jeez

Reddick is a fine player.

You really want to see what Matt Rhule will pay an actually good Temple player?  I don’t.

So if Rhule gets credit for Reddick he also gets credit for

Elfein. poo. Erving. poo. Miller. poo. Jordan. poo. Tecklenburg. poo. Paradis. poo. Not playing BC. poo. Not playing Brown. poo. Keeping PJ. poo. Using a basic high school offense. poo. Getting blown out by the Giants. poo. Getting outscored by the Hurricanes. poo. Thinking you're smarter than everyone else in the NFL while getting your ass handed to you while trading away your teams future. poo. Matt Rhule as an NFL Head Coach. poo.

The defensive secondary was laughable and now we have literally too many guys.  Rhule and Fitty built the defense like fuggin madmen.  We need offensive talent in a similar fashion and this team is awesome.  The QB position is an amazing hurdle.  Gotta get brilliant there

Every good QB we faced lead their team to 30+ points.

and Gilmore makes no sense going forward.

Hmmm…not sure how how going 5/16 to 5/17 is an upward trend….also not sure how this implies, in any reasonable sense, that things will turn around with essentially the same exact team minus big players you can’t afford to sign and a gutted draft

i mean what exactly is going to change?

Too many guys? Burris and Jackson are free agents??? You gave Rhule credit for Reddick right? So sign him 15-20 mill a year because that's what he will demand. Then resign Donte and there goes your cap. Again, how do you improve?

We have to resign Reddick.  Period

Depends on the cost.  I don’t want a comically overpaid pass rusher at the LB spot.

Especially with high odds that we bring in a new staff after 2022.

Gilmore very well may give a hometown discount. He'd be good in the locker room for the young corners.

But yeah our defense is overrated.

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
