I have been on this board a very long time, and as most know, your characterization is ludicrous.

Longevity doesn’t excuse ignorance.

Your dying on a dumb hill with this one. The bills have been one of the most successful teams in the nfl for the past three years (three over ten win seasons, an AFC championship game appearance, and a throttling of a division rival) and trying to discredit that is just taking a contrarian approach for the sake of argument.

0 hindsight 20/20 bullshit either.

It was well known that Beane was being groomed to become the next GM...then....lol

Love it though the hindsight tards can't be found anywhere anymore as literally every woe the team has was already laid out well in advance.

Beane should’ve already been promoted. They kept Hurney, even rehired him, which was dumb. That wasn’t hindsight.

McD is a little trickier. Do you fire Rivera after only one shitty year removed from a super bowl? Plus the year after we went 11-5. This could’ve been hindsight.

One of them is our head coach.

Honestly, he might go even further back than that.

It blows my mind how bad Tepper got duped. He's supposed to be so smart and analytical. He said himself that QB is the only must have position on the roster. Yet he goes out and hires mid-level college coach with minimal NFL experience who had previously won with good defense and decent offense and gives him full control in an increasingly offensive driven league.

Tepper may be brilliant in the world of finance, but damn he's a dumbass in the world of football.

The Bills didn't just suddenly become contenders they have been building something all along. Our perspective has downgraded from mediocrity to just plain embarrassing though. The Panthers past only gets further and further away. Even the Bengals look legit now. It's time to recognize change is on the horizon and we can either be sad and hate or we can realize we need to build our team similarly.

Of course we need to build our team (although I don't necessarily think there's a cookie cutter approach). Unless you're the Steelers or Pats😀, there are always ebbs and flows. Our emotions as fans go up and down, so we're going to be sad sometimes, but as for me, I try to keep it all in perspective most of the time. I don't stay sad. I certainly don't hate. But what I do believe is that we're in flux, we're in the middle of a transition. U like some, I don't think we are bereft of talent. I think that coaching and talent evaluation, in particular along the O-line, is damned near hideous. But with all that, I think that our defense isn't that far away from being something special, our offense has talent, and that by fixing the O-line and getting a franchise QB, we will be right in the thick of things like we used to be--like the Bills are now. It may take a few years, but it can happen. Even with that, if we don't finish the deal, then we're still coming up short.

The Bills were a dumpster fire and landed a franchise QB. Voila. The Cardinals were a dumpster fire and landed a franchise QB. Voila. The Bengals were a dumpster fire and landed a franchise QB. Voila.

Everyone wants to talk about OL, OL, OL but QB trumps everything else. If you don't have a franchise QB and you have the opportunity to land a franchise QB you can't pass. There will probably end up being a franchise QB in this draft. Identify him and draft him. Hint: he played HS football half an hour away from BOA.

Whatever. If you or anyone can't see that until you've won it all, you've done nothing, I can't help you. I think that many if not most of the Bills or any team members would tell you the same.

I also think you're straight up lying saying that I'm trying to discredit them. If anything, you and others are just using their situation to pile on the current failure of our situation which is simply beating a dead horse that has been so bludgeoned that it's unrecognizable at this point.

Like I said, if they win it all, I'll congratulate them like I will any team, but the Panthers current state has less to do with their success than our current FO's bad decisions.

We had a franchise QB. He couldn't get it done. But ask yourself why Joe, Kyler, and Josh can.

Yeah, I agree that franchise QB trumps everything. Of course you try to identify one if they exist, but if they don't you have to improve other areas of the team.

There's no Trevor Lawrence or Andrew Luck prospect in this draft but most franchise QBs weren't that type of prospect. That's why you pay scouts. Go find the franchise QB.

You know it's not that simple. If it were, then all teams would have franchise QBs.🤣

    • Give me Anthony Hill Jr or give me death
    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
